"Face the Pain" is the game, i think it's normally my walkout song.

That said, UFC 2 soundtrack was really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really terrible.

Ah yeah, I think you're right. It's in there, just buried deep in the menus. I've never heard it during normal menu navigation.

The rap on UFC2 was, IMO, absolutely atrocious, and while boxing is defined by its rap anthems, I feel the UFC and MMA in general was defined by a much more eclectic spread of music across all genres. Wanderlei would come out to Darude - Sandstorm, Cro Cop would come out to Wild Boys by Duran Duran, Hendo would come out to Lunatic Fringe by Red Rider, JDS comes out to the Rocky theme, Machida comes out to Linkin Park, Curtis Blaydes came out to the freaking Mortal Kombat theme.

Do fighters sometimes come out to rap? Indeed. But I feel MMA in general represents a broad swath of music, but if you played UFC2, you'd think the sport was in bed with rap.
Get the EA SPORTS UFC 5 Ultimate Edition to stack your roster with fighters and Alter Egos.

There were 27 songs and only 7 of them were rap songs (8 if you count the song DMX is on but thats not really a rap song). Thats a little over 20 percent which isnt alot. 2 of those songs (the T.I and Jadakiss songs) were included because they are used by one fighter (Jones uses Jadakiss song) or alot of fighters have used (the T.I. song).

If you go to a UFC event, the DJ is playing probably 50/50 rap and rock with alot of them being mashups of both. I'd argue that 30-40% of most walkouts are rap songs. So while fighters come out to a whole lot of different walkouts, reducing the amount of rap isnt really true to life. If anything, UFC 2 underrepresented the amount of rap thats in the UFC.

Now as a rap fan, did I like the songs they chose? Nah. I hated most of them other than the Jadakiss and ASAP Ferg songs.

Well every game EA makes can't be NBA Street Vol. 2 or Def Jam FFNY.

Damn those games had fantastic music selections.

I think the issue is more that there aren't enough songs, rather than there not being enough or there being too much of one type of song.

Yeah Face the pain it's buried in the UFC Bonus Track Playlist, along with the Ultimate Fighter Theme. I hear those songs more often because I tailored my playlist to my liking.

UFC Undisputed 2009 was the only Undisputed game that had songs with lyrics in the menus. UFC Undisputed 2010 & Undisputed 3 did not play any songs with lyrics in the menus. The only time you would hear songs with lyrics is in entrances, or Highlight reel videos. The only Authentic Music UFC Undisputed 2010 & UFC Undisputed 3 had was from Event Mode, & Career PPV events. If I remember right they had the Weigh In music as well. But other then that they were just instrumentals in UD 2010 & UD 3.

However THQ never used Fighters Authentic entrance music. EA will at least do that. I remember on the THQ forum people were upset Wanderlei didn't have that Sandstorm song as his pride intro, or Anderson with his ain't no sunshine song.
