The tendencies were determined through a number of methods:
1)Watching fights: The team watched a few of the most recent fights for each fighter and documented their actions.
2)Stats: The team utilized stats from sites like Fightmetric and ESPN to determine things like strike targets and how often takedowns were attempted.
3)Discussion amongst the devs and gamechangers.
The beta will have signature AI tendecies for the following fighters:
Eddie Alvarez
Nate Diaz
Khabib N.
Anthony Pettis
Conor McGregor
Edson Barboza
Tony Ferguson
Michael Chiesa
The other fighters will have generic tendencies based on their fight style.
Here is where you guys come in:
The beta will have the "fight now" mode so you will be able to test the AI and each of its difficulties. So here are some of the things to look for:
- When fighting a specific fighter, does it resemble how he actually fights? Is he using a defensive technique too often or too little? Is he shooting for takedowns or entering the clinch to often or too little? Is he attempting kicks more often than he doesnt in real life?
- Aggression: this was my biggest concern when playing the game in August. Skynet and I discussed some ways to make the AI less aggressive (depending on the fighter) and some of those things are in the beta? Let the team know how aggressive the AI is and if possible post videos of fights where the AI is too aggressive or not aggressive enough.
- Difficulty: Is the game too easy or too hard at the higher levels?
Post all of your feedback in this thread. Thanks.
