Amazing!
That was a side dash or side sway?Comment

Re: Striking is going to be a spam fest.
The clip of a head kick when both guys are less than half stamina doesn't draw attention to my issue. Since moving to a striker based fighter, I've had a lot of success (10-0 atm). My issue seems to stem from using a grappler and get jab****ed.
Using a striker, I can side step a straight to land a counter and I can duck to land a counter.
EDIT - I should note that I am playing on the UT game, which may further exaggerate my experience.Last edited by thedeadchicken89; 11-29-2017, 01:24 PM.Comment

Re: Striking is going to be a spam fest.
From my experience so far (and based on watching fights) MOVEMENT IS THE KEY THIS YEAR! You should not rely on just one aspect of movement though. Combining defensive mechanics will punish the HELL out of 1-2 spam. I labbed with my brother (online) all of yesterday and had him throw 1-2s the whole fight to see if I could get the timing down with just head movement and it's not impossible but hard as hell with input lag. With my knowledge of striking in real life a fighter must step to the outside of a jab to effectively counter it. So a soft lunge to the outside takes advantage of the vulnerability system this year, and results in a soft stun. But for fighters like Diaz with crazy boxing, it seems they are always at frame advantage with their jabs. So they are able to throw almost immediately after their jab being slipped or stepped around. So I then started adding a hard lunge or signature lunge (Lb+ RS). This gets you away from the second shot by a mile and you can chain them so quick and effortless. I will say pay attention to which way you move the right stick because it's still considered head movement (but you're combining lunges with it). So if he jab-crosses and you successfully sidestep-hard lunge it, A smart player will notice and come back with a 1-3 and if you hard lunge into that 3 then it will do DAMAGE. So just go to practice mode and use the recording system to give you different looks, that way you can work on the full range of lunge and head movement combinations, to see what's effective for countering.

Re: Striking is going to be a spam fest.
Guy has zero stamina, is getting lit up, just eating huge clean strikes, but then lands 1 single counter, still with literally zero stamina, and gets the instant KO.
That is broke. Damage makes no sense.PSN: Lord__Hazanko

This is EXACTLY the kinda **** I was just talking about in the Beta reaction thread.

But yeah, Poirier didnt have any stamina and was rocked but it was double or quits. But i dont know why Lee cannot back up of the KD, maybe due to the beta.
I hope on ranked, we will not be able to see opponent Health Hud in order to add more strategies and carefulness.Last edited by Donnie_Brasco_FR; 11-29-2017, 01:38 PM.Comment

Well i find that KD cool because Poirier has the perk counter puncher, he did a perfect evasive move and caught Lee during his initiate uppercut.

I mean, cool lunge KO, but he shouldn't have even been able to do that. Dude was heavily concussed, and out of gas.PSN: Lord__Hazanko

Yeah i understand but i believe certain players in the past complaining about rocked state of Ufc1 and 2 to not be able to throw shots in return, now it seems to be the case.Comment

I dont know alot of 72 year old men with dementia who know how to use VPNs to change their IP and spend their time creating new email addresses to register new accounts.

Drinklime and I played one another online last night for 4-5 matches. Was intense. I've had zero contact with FishingTime in years outside commenting on one of his TakeFive vids. I'm concerned for him and that's the truth. Anyway let's get the focus back on constructive criticism of this MMA game. Fishingtime sold his Xbox so he should just move on...Comment

Yeah maybe in rock and gas state, forbidden the possibility to dash(and sway?) might be a good thing.
But Kongo/Barry **** have to be possible too!

Re: Striking is going to be a spam fest.
Trust me, I like having the element of danger and surprise in this game. But combos probably shouldn't do this and with that kind of speed when your rocked by two health events while still getting hit.

Re: Striking is going to be a spam fest.
Ya Haz, your complaining about a guy with no stamina and who is rocked koing a guy coming in?
That literally happens ALLL the time in MMA. How many times have we seen someone rocked and tired falling back against the cage and the guy trying to finish comes in swinging and gets caught, sometimes not even a hard punch and get his lights put out?
it literally happens all the time.PSNID: B_A_N_EComment
