Should there be a slight stamina penalty for head movement?

I was actually surprised to see no stamina penalty for constantly bobbing and weaving all over the place, so i decided to play the game and try it out.

I have come to the conclusion there needs to be a slight stamina drain on head movement.

Not only for game play and realism, but aesthetic reasons.

You cannot have a guy ducking and weaving all over the octagon while moving an entire fight and have him not lose stamina.

ive had guys fight me who literally do not stop ducking and weaving from start to finish, it looks stupid and should tire you out.

It should be more of a tactical option used to close distance and duck a punch, not a " Im a noob so ill just duck and weave all over the place and hopefully get lucky "

give it a .25 stamiina drain or something, make it barely noticeable unless you are a spammer of it.

YOU BEAT ME TO THIS POST!!! Although I think it should be a flat .10 drain for a single movment because it's not that taxing of a movement, BUT consecutive and spammed patterns should have multiplied and stacked drain on top of that for each movement.

    e.g. 5 sways= 12% stamina drain
    .10×2
    .20×3
    .60×4
    2.4×5
    12

    Thoughts?

Do not agree, there is nothing OP with the head movement. It actually needs a control buff. Irl just moving around the cage takes more stamina than moving just your head. Plus head movement stops working if caught in a combo and requires an axis reset to move again. Now if blocking during head movement was a thing, I'd agree.

No they shouldn’t be a stamina drain for head movement head movement is a highly risky move or within itself and can have drastic ramifications if you sway in the direction of a strike.
And being that this year strikes have much of a risk and reward applied to it it’s only fair to have an invasive move that won’t cost you stamina.

If they are tweaked in a way that you actually can sway regardless if youre in the middle of dodging a combo then yes. Right now the sway feels completely broken, you have to guess when the opponent is going to strike and hope that you can time it. They're working the exact same way as parries, but are way more risky. Thats probably why some many players sway all over just to increase the chance of actually dodging an incoming strike, much like parryspammers would flap their hands all over to try to catch something. Its already a huge risk to use sways, and adding a stamina penalty to the current sways would basically render them useless. If we were able to use headmovement as snappy as in ufc 2 then yes, it would be realistic to add a (reasonable) stamina drain so ppl won't exploit it. Not counting the obvious bugs, glitches and unpolished stuff then the headmovement is the single most disappointing thing to me in this beta, i really hope it gets fixed

I did not say head movement was OP, far from it.

My reasons were, game play, aesthetics and REALITY.

It look's really dumb to just have 2 guys standing in front of each other ducking back and forth, i say this as a inside fighter, i use them every fight and i enjoy them and i still think my stamina should be draining slightly for using them.

Movement and bobbing left, right, up, and back will make you tired bro.

Yeah, I just don't see the need for it. And personally I think we should kinda chill on a lot of changes until people are better at the game, unless it's obviously broken like Diaz 1-2 or subs. People will probably relax once they get better in the pocket and move more realistically natural. Like, I'm already doing my best to limit pocket exchanges to 2-3 punches before I circle out and kick. Get clipped a lot, but man, I'm trying haha

Literally all you have to do is spam hooks if he's swaying back and forth recklessly.

I was thinking the same today there should be a penalty since it's movement.

Holding constantly high block should also have a stamina penalty cause hands are getting heavy during a 5 round fight

I hope not. If there is a penalty for it, it will be used much less often, and I really like the aspect of the game.

Or lunge back/create a bit of distance and head kick.

The last thing the head movement needs is a nerf

No. Absolutely not. I called for stamina penalty for head movement in UFC 2 and everyone said no. Lol.

Pretty sure it does take energy to slip and stuff irl.
