Re: prohibit game changers from lecs

This is more complex than I thought when I started reading.

As an XBOX Player who had fought Kinetic several times over the course of EA UFC 2, I don't feel that he has any inherent advantage over anyone. He's just good at the game. I don't know if I ever beat him, I may have once or twice, but I can never remember a time where I said "**** this KineticNRG guy" the way I did with T4H clinch spammers and such. It was always a competitive fight where even if I got my *** beat very quickly I felt like I got skillfully whomped instead of beaten by game mechanics.

I even just re-read some of this thread and found someone breaking down his fight style to be fast paced, aggressive, striking. This is correct to my memory and is also the way I play. That would not give him an inherent advantage to improve the game in that direction if he theoretically, and I don't really see this being a thing any one GC has the power to do, were to try and sway the game in that direction.

From everything I understand the GC's don't get the kind of access that I see being described, and regardless of their input it's up to EA to make the final decision on the product. They can point in a direction but they can't make the developers go there necessarily. In the case of the Magic tournaments, I don't know how directly those players influence changed the game. It could have been minimal, it could have been drastic. It's not a moot point by any means, I just don't think it applies to UFC 3 in the same way. Every single fight is another chance to change the way things are going in a way that can't be understated or compared to many other things. A bad player can beat the most skilled player if he's not paying attention whereas I, being someone who never got into Magic but attempted to play with friends, got handedly destroyed every time I played with anyone who already had their own cards. It's more about just having a boss deck and THEN knowing what to do with it, from what I saw, whereas UFC 3 is entirely about knowing what to do with your "deck" of moves.

The most valid point I saw here was that you don't want to alienate the GC's. That's just unfair. Putting myself in that position, I became more active in the UFC Game community through Reddit and such in late 2016, I would feel screwed over if I were chosen to be a GC and then kept away from all tournaments. That's with just the amount of time and effort I have into playing and analyzing the game, much less someone like Kinetic who probably puts hours of practicing and dissecting this game.
