Buffer still doesn't say the CAF's names. Dear lord this is discount crap.

Re: EA Sports UFC 3 Career Mode Trailer
How much has the ‘Create A Fighter’ changed? I noticed the one time I tried UT in the beta, besides a few new tattoos, there didnt seme to really be anything new, same faces, same or less body types, hair styles etc. Is that what we can expect come release, or did the beta not show everything available?

Re: EA Sports UFC 3 Career Mode Trailer
What’s up guys. I seen the new trailer of the career mode on the gameplay developers Twitter and went crazy out of excitement. I seen a link in his bio and clicked which brought me to a whole community I never knew if I hope to bring good and positive feedback as well as learning from others. One question I do have about the career mode is would we be able to fight 2-3 times a year? It’d help climb rankings quicker and bring another realistic aspect to the career mode.

Re: EA Sports UFC 3 Career Mode Trailer
Yeah, I'm sure Buffer has plenty of time to sit in a studio and record random CAF names, right? No. It's not discount, you dummy. It's Bruce (likely) being busy.Comment

Re: EA Sports UFC 3 Career Mode Trailer
Also Buffer says the names of CAF's that he has previously recorded. They added a lot of new names to the launch version. So unlike last year if you have a guy named Chuck Silva, Buffer will say it because those names are already in the database.Comment

I don't know how UFC handles their merchandise contracts, but I would hope Rogan/Buffer don't see a nickel from UFC 3 sales.Comment

Bassi this looks amazing. I have just 2 quick questions.
#1- If you get cut from the ufc do you drop back down to the wfa to try and pull a robbie lawler and worm your way back?
#2- Are we going to see legends like liddel ect as opponents in career mode this year? I would love to have the option to add them to the pool of opponents.Comment

Re: EA Sports UFC 3 Career Mode Trailer
There is a very simple solution, that I'm surprised a dummy like me would grasp: HIRE. SOMEONE. ELSE. There's a thousand other people out there who will do voiceover work (for cheap, too) if Buffer doesn't want to. Same with Rogan on the commentary. If anyone wants to whine that Joe Rogan isn't on commentary, tell them to take it up with Joe Rogan.
I don't know how UFC handles their merchandise contracts, but I would hope Rogan/Buffer don't see a nickel from UFC 3 sales.
99% of the people who will buy the game would rather sparse/repetative Rogan/Buffer audio than no Rogan/Buffer at all.Comment

Re: EA Sports UFC 3 Career Mode Trailer
If Rogan doesn't want to do it I'd prefer one of the other dudes. I'm sure they wouldn't be hot about it either.Comment

Re: EA Sports UFC 3 Career Mode Trailer
Not only would replacing them with either straight up voice actors or simply other talents employed by UFC sound better, you'd be justified for doing it by your own fanbase because Rogan/Buffer aren't participating.Comment

Re: EA Sports UFC 3 Career Mode Trailer and More
Yeah, I wouldn't mind Rogan being removed if they had Cruz, DC, Felder, Dan Hardy replace him. At this point it just sounds kind of goofy and out of place.
As far as Buffer goes I actually think the introductions are way better in EA UFC 2 and 3 then anyother game. I have went back and played UD3 and EA UFC 1 this week and noticed how lifeless Buffer was in those games. I still think staredowns are bad though, certain fighters doing out of character staredowns happen all the time. UD3 did a pretty damn good job with the staredowns.

Same. I enjoy Joe's commentary, but if he doesn't want to do the games then get someone in there who wants to be there.Comment

Re: EA Sports UFC 3 Career Mode Trailer and More
Yupp agree. I thought Joe was excellent in UFC 1 but you could tell he had no interest in 2. If EA didn't even approach him for 3, you can imagine how difficult it must have been to work with him. Fair enough if he doesn't want to do it but I'd much prefer having someone else in there, UFC has enough commentators now to help fill the gap and who would hopefully be happy to do it.Comment
