Retired fighters/boxers break immersion to me. Not to mention that they're always buffed in every area as if they're on every PED's from 200 years into the future rather than having realistic stats..

Lol, yeah, that was a an incredibly tounge in cheek statement, hence following it up "But, in all seriousness" I don't think Cro Cop would actually tear through HW like it was a 54 year old Japanese man..

That said, I agree about Legend Stats. They are too high for most, Cro Cop with an 86 ovr ground game in UFC 2 literally meant I could tap Nog, which was silly.

Fortunately I think once the guy has been made, they just bring him to the next game. They aren't really taking someone's spot since the idea is to grow the roster.

I think the only reason this year's roster will have roughly the same number of fighters is due to the removal of fighters who left the UFC. If they'd stayed I think we'd have a good 50-60 more fighters in total than last year.

However, if those guys take up space and resources from CAF slots, new arenas, universe mode etc...then I'd rather not have them. I don't know if disc space is still a thing, but that's where I'm coming from on this.

Yeah, I've wondered what kinda space limit that game might have myself.

UFC 2 was 22gb roughly, blu-ray can hold 50gb.
Does the XB1 use blu-ray or DVD? If they had to keep the game under "x" GB then it'd make sense.

But essentially, I agree, if they're already there, use em, if there is only room for hypothetically 300 fighters, then up and comers, New talent should get precedent over new legends, for sure, and older ones could possibly even be cut for new talent (here's looking at you, Mark Coleman)

Except Cro Cop, he can take whoevers spot he wants :P.

Mark Coleman had terrible stats in EA UFC 1 & 2.
85 Overall 90 Stand Up, 81 Clinch, 83 Ground

Royce Gracie was an 86 Overall with 83 Stand Up, 82 Clinch, & 91 Ground.

Mike Tyson Had no stats revealed for an overall.

Sakuraba 88 Overall 87 Stand Up, 86 Clinch, & 90 Ground


Liddell 91 Overall 95 Stand Up, 90 Clinch, 88 Ground

Rampage 88 Overall, 91 Stand Up, 84 Clinch, 85 Ground


Bruce Lee 91 Overall 95, Stand Up, 88 Clinch, & 85 Ground.

To me their stats were just high in areas where their strengths are. I'm glad EA got rid of overalls by the way that way people aren't too focused on that number anymore.

But I get what you mean about trying to keep the game current. To me it doesn't matter much about such fighters especially since we have CAF's where people will just make their fantasy roster anyways.

I would rather have young versions of current fighters like a young Vitor, young Anderson, young BJ Penn, Young Shogun, just to have a prime versions of those fighters.

If the game had a mode like UFC Undisputed where you could play out old UFC/ Pride FC fights and would have to complete certain task to fulfill a certain condition to unlock footage from that fight then it would make more sense to have more legends. But we have no such mode.

I hope Mike is in now that the stand-up aspect of the game is better. I really want Cro Cop too :'(

They should just add all the top 15 fighters from every division , exciting new comers and no legends( for space )

I enjoyed having Tyson. The one drawback was he literally couldn't attempt a takedown. I know he's a boxer, but if we are pretending he's in the UFC, he should at least be able to attempt one, even if it sucks.

No they got removed unfortunatly, wish they were still in because with the new striking they would make a great addition
