That would work for CAFs that we create not for the fighters the devs create. As I said before, they tried using CAFs for DLC before and people hated it.

Its a choice. Lets say they add Mike Perry in one of the next few DLCs. They can either: 1) Take the time to make sure his face, tats and body are spot on and sacrifice creating less popular fighters like Pantoja, Casey etc. or 2) extend customization and create 5 fighters who look 50% like the real fighters in the same amount of time.

EA will take way more backlash and criticism for option 2 than 1 and thats primarily why they go with 1 for the UFC series.

But my suggestion is to improve the CAF system.

Mike Perry is hardly comparable to the Norwegian team or a 17 year old prospect. In fact Mike Perry is one of the MOST demanded DLC fighters out there.
So let's say they take the time to model the top 10 ranked, and fan favs like Israel Adesanya.
I'm talking about a Chase Sherman, a Andre Soukhamthath.

I thought Myles Jury and TJ Dillashaw looked pretty good in ufc1.

About Courtney Casey. Yeah, I'm surprised people are asking for her before other fighters.

The CAF system will never be on the level of roster fighters because they have more tools. I love the CAF systems in WWE and UD3. They are much better than what we have in EA UFC. Even in those games, its very clear to see what is a CAF vs. a roster fighter. The complaints would still be there.

The reality is that its an either or situation. I dont believe EA UFC has its own art team. The art team works on several titles at the same time so they have a limited amount of time.

If they are working on getting a Perry or Isreal perfect, they wont have the time to get Chase decent and as I said before I dont think they are happy with having the fighters they create look significantly different in quality.

Also with an improved CAF system, why do you need EA to create the fighter? Especially if they are just going to use the same system as you? I worked on the stats for fighters so it doesnt take a rocket scientist to do stats. Anyone can do that. You can always add more CAFs by creating a new profile so you arent really limited by that.

I'm not saying your ideas arent great (I've suggested many of the same to the devs recently). I'm just objecting to your point that EA is willing to add lower tiered hockey and soccer players as generics so it should be willing to do the same here.

            Well
            1. gameface is notoriously broken
            2. If you say I can just create a new profile to have unlimited CAF space, I can reply by saying; then just open the CAF Space EA!
            3. You'd end up with fighters that can't fight eachother, or be on the same card from different profiles.

It's just a wonky fix for something that shouldn't be an issue.

Its not really a wonky fix though. The system needs to be redone. There needs to be more CAF fighters. We agree on that.

Your solution for UFC 3 is just to expand/redo the CAF system and have the art team work within that. My point is that even if they did that (which I dont believe they will for 3), those CAFs will still look average and generic and it will take alot of time and resources to get it in 3.

I dont need a generic Chase Sherman, I can create that myself.

Eh? actually I argued that since we could do it ourself they should be able to too.

                my two main points were
                1. either add the depth
                2. or let us have the tools to do so.

You arent understanding me. If they do it, it takes away from their time to create great new fighters for people like Zabit and Perry and others. Also if they do it, the expectations are higher because this is their job. I have a Chase Sherman. I created him weeks ago and I'd give it a 5/10. If they created a Chase, I would expect it to be better than mine. I think most people would too. That takes time.

Creating depth and/or giving us the tools for 3 requires alot of backend work that wont likely happen for 3. So I'd rather them continue with creating 3-4 fighters a month (along with current fighter updates) than gives us 8-10 fighters a month who look average. I'd also rather they use dev time in other ways than CAF right now.

Ah, understood. I'm not arguing that they streamline their design process this patch cycle. I was pointing out a problem that I wish they'd fix in the future. (I don't think it should take them a long time to up the caf limit from 22 to say 50, but that's beside the point.)

This is an issue I'm hoping will be fixed in the next 2-4 years. Not tomorrow.

I think there will be changes in the next version. I've talked to the devs about this and CAF changes is something they wish they were able to get into 3.

speaking of, here's also what i hope the Women's Featherweigt division will look like. Not exactly thinking it's gonna be in the next few patches, but something that I think would be nice to get in UFC4. (Note. UFC 1 only had 8 female fighters total).

                        Women's Featherweight - 145lb
                        - Cris Cyborg
                        - Amanda Nunes (She was talking about moving up for a fight)
                        - Germain de Randamie
                        - Megan Anderson (Now signed to the UFC)
                        - Holly Holm
                        - Yana Kunitskaya
                        - Tonya Evinger

                        - Leslie Smith (Unsure about this one, she fought at 140lb)
                        - Lina Lansberg (Unsure about this one, she fought at 140lb)
                        - Charmaine Tweet (Unsure about this one. If UFC signs her from Invicta within the next 2 years. which I hope they will.)
                        - Gina Carano (Unsure about this one. Retired since 2009, technically still under contract with the UFC, not sure if they can use her likeness though. If so, she would be a nice "Legend".)
