Good point for sure; what I saw in the Beta was your first 10 fights were 'placement fights' --- let's say you go 9-1, You will definitely be in a top-tier division.

If you then go 21-2 in that top tier division (i.e. to become 30-3) then you'll have a higher leaderboard rank than someone who went 200-80 in Division 5, for example.

Which is awesome Quality over Quantity!!

The fighters's match-ups shall matter, too, last I heard. If your fighter is weaker, you win more points, at least for ranked... not sure about UT.
YES!! If this is true ----

I think that's the final step towards advancing the Leaderboards. Some Consideration (Bonus) for 'Sub of the Night' or 'KO of the Night' etc.

I haven't thought it through too much. But perhaps you get +1 leaderboard points if you get a finish in the first 2 minutes; +1 leaderboard point for finishing opponent in the last minute of the fight while down on scorecards, etc

Tons of possibilities, probably too many But winning in decisive fashion, or securing a 3rd round finish when you were losing on the scorecards, etc., could be fun.

Man, I can't wait to Leaderboard Chase on UFC 3 ! lol Should be really fun

There definitely seemed to be bigger rewards for beating high-ranking opponents; and major consequences for losing to low-ranking opponents. Good stuff.

My assumption is that Ultimate Team leaderboards will not change from Beta to launch.

So, I'm focusing on the Ranked Championship leaderboards. Not sure if anyone knows the answers, but thought I'd ask

      * Will we still get 'bonus points' for using 'fighters of the day'? I thought this was a fun and unique way to get people to try out new fighters in prior games.

      * Is there any sort of extra boost for picking a fighter with low stats, relative to opponent? If I choose a 'bum' and my opponent chooses DJ or JBJ or something ---- and I beat him ---- I should get a few extra points, right? On the other hand, if I pick Conor and lose against some low-stat fighter, I should lose a ton of points

      * Are there any type of new stats / analytics being measured? I always felt like the Leaderboards and FighterNet had *tons* of potential to track all types of stuff, but were really underutilized in previous games.

For example, fighter-specific leaderboards would be cool. Who's the best Yoel Romero? Who's the best Sage Northcutt (lol) etc

It'd also let you see how well players use other fighters. For example, maybe some top-ranked guy has a great record, but only when using JBJ. When he uses other fighters, he sucks. Would be interesting to be able to dive into that level of detail.

Anyway, very glad to see some improvements to the UT leaderboard in Beta! Hopefully ranked championships had similar improvements
That's interesting that rankings work that way now
I'm not sure how Rankings go in EA UFC 3, but I had a friend telling me about how someone on Madden was ranked #1 even though he was 800 wins and 600 losses. But the guy ranked #2 had a record of about 800 wins and only 100 something losses.

I'm unsure of EA UFC's logic when it comes to rankings but after hearing my friend say that about Madden rankings it made me wonder about the logic behind it, and if EA UFC functions anything like this. I would like to understand about this more.

I'm also curious if ranked matches have the Rivalries tracker as well. Or if that's quick match only.

        That's what I meant, 200-8 was a typo.

Yoo please we need latency bar for ranked!!! Fifa has this, when u match up vs opponent you can see a latency bar which is filled I'll different depending on the connection strength. This helps SOOO much with avoiding lag. This is really fair since I shouldn't be punished for opponents connection sucking while mine is great. Please make this happen. I think ufc undisputed 3 had this too. I never play on fifa unless the bar is filled 4/5 or 5/5 cuz I hate lag and I know my connection is good so I shouldn't lag. I have 250/100 speed

            Hmm very interesting

Not 100% sure how the UFC 3 Leaderboards will function, we definitely didn't get a long-term look at it in the Beta so it'll be very interesting to see how it goes....GPD feel free to throw the algorithm into this thread LOL
