Re: Anyone else lagging EVERY GAME?
I think I heard some people complain about it after coming back into game from rest rode. -
Re: Anyone else lagging EVERY GAME?
I've had one match that was very laggy and I quit out of that one. The rest of them have been fine for me so far.Comment

Re: Anyone else lagging EVERY GAME?
I know there is lag from time to time, but as silly as this may sound. I actually stream my Xbone to my laptop 100% of the time, and play the game from my laptop whether in the bedroom or in a hotel room (I unlocked the app to work beyond just "in home"). Though for the most part even with this configuration I have next to 0 noticeable latency which I think is pretty good. It may all just come down to our ISP's though.Comment

Re: Anyone else lagging EVERY GAME?
Many of my offline career mode matches lagged today, but not last night if I recall correctly, Maybe this was just the rest mode bug. Anyone else experience this to confirm its only the rest mode issue causing it?Comment

Re: Anyone else lagging EVERY GAME?
We have no region lock and no way to decline potentially laggy matches (in other words, to be able to see a green, yellow, red bar connection etc.). These features are standard in other fighting games like Mortal Kombat, Tekken, Soul Calibur, etc.
I've been literally beating this issue like a drum for the past 2 years to the devs that we need some kind of way to limit the latency. To the point where I legit get annoying about it.
It is what it is as Max Holloway would say. I hear that Xbox is less laggy. That's probably because Xbox only performed well in North America, so you can think of Xbox as having a kind of defacto region lock.
PS4 performed well globally, so you're liable to match up with people out the country. I know for sure I have already matched up with laggers in China and the UK (and I live in the Southern US). If you look up a lagger's profile on PS4, it'll tell you what language they speak. So you can ascertain with pretty good accuracy where they live.
If you guys are experiencing "lag" offline, then that isn't lag. That's most likely a frame rate drop (not sure why that would be happening).Last edited by ZombieRommel; 02-04-2018, 02:20 AM.ZombieRommel on YouTube - UFC3 coverage has begun!Comment

Re: Anyone else lagging EVERY GAME?
I've actually had a surprisingly lag free experience.
I'm in Australia, so I expect bad things, but I played a online leauge tournament with a heap of Americans last night and aside from two odd round resets (white screen, cuts to the round restarting) I had absolutely NO lag, I was really shocked.
Wasn't expecting to be able to play Americans smoothly.
Though I hands down agree with ZombieRommel (as usual) some kind of way to check latency is A MUST, can't believe were 3 games in with no ping check..Comment

Re: Anyone else lagging EVERY GAME?
If you wanna be assured of having a lag free fight, when you go from "searching" to "connecting to game" or whatever it says, time it. If it lasts longer than 5 seconds, you might wanna close the app and reopen. Could it just be that maybe a NAT type is moderate instead of open and you'll be fine? Sure. But it could also mean you just connected with someone on another continent, and then well, you're screwed.Comment
