I have a feel if it stays like this in ranked its going to be the same as last year with most people picking champs instead of mixing it up and also i think players that use lower rated fighters in ranked should get far more points for a win and have it based off the stat difference how much points you should get.

issue with ground balance using lower rated fighters
My biggest issue so far from what i have played with the ground balance is that when you get taken down by i higher rated fighter, for example i was Dodson and my opponent was Dj he took me down and had almost zero stamina mine was full i denied at least 3 transitions he did and yet it didnt block a single one even though i blocked the second i saw him transistion.

The ground control is so unresponsive compared to striking on the ground How do you arm trap? I don't even get the prompt will mounted.

Re: issue with ground balance using lower rated fighters
The stats have really ruined the ground experience for me. I’ve gotten over the mount being changed and actually kind of like it, but denying transitions with low ratings is very difficult. In UFC 2 it didn’t matter as much as it does now. It’s awful.

Arm traps are like denials, now. Hold block and flick the right stick to the side of the punch, with good timing.Comment

Thanks.
That's what I thought I was supposed to do. Must be happening too fast.

I like Edgar but in ranked he isn't that good against HollowayComment

Re: issue with ground balance using lower rated fighters
The ground game offline is waaaay to easy no matter the stat differentials, I play with the CPU transitions maxed and mine at normal and its still way too easy to hold Maia in Johnny Hendricks guard, for example, or to shut down Mighty Mouse on the ground.
From what I've played online good timing still means the most on the ground.
With that said, I've had a few laggy matches were denials are impossible unless you do them completely on intuition and preemptively.Comment

This is my biggest problem with the game if this gets fixed definitely a step in the right directionComment

Skill wins over stats, it's tough but very possible.Comment

Re: issue with ground balance using lower rated fighters
I feel like they overcorrected the sub gate problem everyone was having at launch 'cause now I can barely ever get a sub even playing as Maia or Ronda. Stamina advantage, grapple advantage, none of it matters. By the time the third or fourth gate comes up they're so close to getting out that the slight delay online gives enough time between me hitting the direction and it registering that, they just get out.
Have no idea what to do about that. But the ground game is just all out of sorts. People are saying the denial windows are too wide, we must not be playing the same game. I can't deny **** that I'm calling out loud. Like, preemptively attempting to defend and still failing even though I know what they're going to do.
Inconsistence. That seems to be the general theme of UFC 3.Comment
