Crazy how they take out the follow up strikes after KOs because it “looks bad” for the sport but they allow us to knock our opponent down and rock them 10+ times doesn’t that promote some sort of head trauma? If you wanna so called clean the sport up why in almost every fight on UFC 3 there’s this many HEAD health events . I just think it’s total bs as to why the finish the fight was removed

I like fighting, the technical aspects, the savagery and especially the psychology of it. What must be going through these guys mind as they are walking toward the octagon? You can't make a fighting game and try and tame it.
Fight fans like the finish. Like i said before, let us decide if we should follow up with strikes after a knockout. And on a knockdown, don't allow the opponent to just stand up, get in there and finish him! Come on already EAComment

This. We are talking about cage fighting here. You ever been watching a ufc fight on tv and someone who doesn't normally watch walks in the room? Ever see their reaction? It usually is along the lines of "wow this is brutal, I can't watch this."

Re: Diving after knocked down opponents
That's exactly right. We need to be able to follow up right away. I've also noticed that if you end up standing over them during the part where you can transition to other ground posititions, you can't try to throw a few punches to try and hurt them or help you transition. Also not being able to follow up on an actual knockout is just ridiculous.
Look I've watched mma since the pride and tank Abbott era. It has come so far with the rules. No head butts, no soccer kicks, etc. but at the end of the day it's a barbaric sport, just like boxing. If EA doesn't want us following up on knock downs or knockouts it ruins the experience. I've seen a handful of knockouts in ufc where the fighter didn't follow up because it was a no doubter (recently Emmett/ Lamas) but it is extremely rare. It looks so stupid in this game where the opponent slowly crumples to the ground (knocked out) and you're guy is standing literally right next to him doing nothing. Let us be the judge of whether or not we think it's over and there doesn't need to be any follow up punishment!
This needs to be added in, not hitting a guy on the ground because he's in a vulnerable, defenseless position, gtfo out of here, this is fighting, you know a combat sport. So ****ing stupid and immersion breaking...precision beats power and timing beats speed... and realism beats meta.Comment

Re: Diving after knocked down opponents
So over an opponent who's on their back in guard, press punch from just outside(there's actually a pretty big window here, probably 2 foot) feet-on-hips range to throw a diving strike into the guard hold L1/R1 to modify into a hammerfist or elbow.
You don't have to move, attempting a moving strike can result in accidental feet on hips.
As for an opponent in a Finish the Fight position, good luck!! They're pretty much pure chance unless the opponent is dead.
More than half the time you'll strike the air whilst they recover on the ground, it utterly sucks.
But the diving punch into guard is reliable for me.Comment

Re: Diving after knocked down opponents
Oh, and for the guy in guard, throw a kick while the opponent dives in to upkick them in the face and get a free window to get up.Comment

I know for legal reasons they can’t specifically say what is changing before it does....precision beats power and timing beats speed... and realism beats meta.Comment

Re: Diving after knocked down opponents
I feel like silence from the Devs lately is maybe a good sign? Hopefully big changes are coming in this patch and they are already implimenting these changes, so don’t feel the need to discuss.
