Who's idea was it to map kicks to the shoulder buttons + buttons???

Seriously trying to beat this last No Love challenge where I have to kick Cody 10 times in the head and I keep doing some other stuff. It's so freaking frustrating.

I don't remember UFC 2 too well but I'm sure I was able to do flying kicks and head kicks with ease.

Why did they map the kicks like this...

It’s more difficult in terms of new controls. But we’ll get used to it after 5 years.

To free the Left Stick for moving while striking. BTW, did you check if you have a head roundhouse equipped on your fighter, for that challenge?

It was @GamePlayDevUFC, definitely... Or perhaps Bob from marketing..

All Jokes aside, yeah I agree... It's taking a little getting used to.

I have a front kick and a lead 360 tornado kick applied.

It takes a bit of getting used too, for sure, but I prefer it TBH, anything is worth having directional control on strikes.

Trust me, once you've used them a few times they become second nature, I've been throwing jumping switch kick into spinning back kick combos and all sorts of crazy s*** lately.

But for the first like, week. It was simple boxing and kickboxing combos just to get that muscle memory flow thing going.

Sounds like you're starting with some harder to land kicks in UT though, that Tornado kick has a helluva input, if you have any basic roundhouses I recommend you use them instead.

Probably the same crew that came up with 400+ hard combos and made it advantageous to throw insane amounts of them, while nerfing everything ground.

There was no way to do it and also have moving while striking in the game. It was worth the extra complexity to add that though; it takes the game to a different level.

It's taking me a while to get used to, but I think it's a much better system.
