Re: Fighters don't retire in career mode...

UFC 3's career mode is the worst out of the 3 UFC games we had, IMO. Not being able to see other fights on the cards and your own fight history is an extremely bad decision. The only influence you have is choosing which camp, I can't understand at all why they made so many bad decisions.

Honestly, I feel kind of insulted by Ea. Those video's showing everything that a lot of people had been asking for, which they knew. And than the final product is just a big middle finger with those 2 second press conference video's and what not.

Would you retire if you had 100 out of 100 out of 100 stats?

Has someone played along so far and is there is 60 year old champ?

Played further then that, in one career mode that I'm still playing, Cormier is 74 and still champ lol the oldest on the roster is in his 80's

Hahaha! That says something about career mode.

There should be a moment where you realize you're past your prime -- where you lose the title, where you try to make a comeback run, and maybe where you are in the final stages in your career and opt for some "fun" fights against old, aging rivals.
This would be perfect. Those small things like a tournament in Japan (PRIDE) like in Undisputed 3 made career mode very interestic, as you wouldn't be fighting the same fighters in the UFC. Also more ''hype fights'' like Champ vs Champ or like a Anderson Silva vs James Irvin/Forest Griffin fights

lol. That’s pretty funny. Cormier is 74 and the oldest is 80.

How did the devs not find this an issue? They must have know fighters turn into old men when building the career mode.

                  Hmmmmm.......

It's just a simple solution to the problem UFC 2 had were you'd get fights against 2 or 3 highly ranked real fighters around your first title shot and then fight 15 or 20 CAFs to end your career. It does suck for immersion, they could have started us in 2012 or something, but I think it's better than the situation we had in 2.

See, that's not the thing for me, it's more Fighting real fighters >> fighting CAFs. Of course I'd prefer them not to be 80, I just think the 4 seconds at the tale of the tape is a small price to pay, especially since I skip it most times anyway.

It just completely breaks the immersion for me.

One of my favorite things was looking at other fight cards and following other fighter’s records.

I think the best solution for a career is the way FNC went about it. You had a great cutscene loaded story, plus OWC to build a character and battle for online belts.

Yes! Bring the GOAT online - if you opt not to retire and keep at it. Fight other online CAREER CAFs!
