The game renders at 60, but the simulation and inputs are tied to 30 so there’s no advantage online. Either way it’s still really nice to have the added smoothness. I reckon it is a bit of a trick on the mind at points too because it does feel a taaaad more responsive even though the frame timings are the same, it is what it is I suppose. Still, love the smoother looking gameplay.

But the biggest benefit is the visual smoothness. 30FPS just looks "muddy." It legit hurts my eyes to play games at 30FPS because my mind is filling in the gaps where I should be seeing frames but I'm not.
On my PC, I use a 165hz monitor. Once you acclimate to 144-165hz, going back to a 60hz desktop feels like garbage also. It's all relative. But 30FPS looks and feels like absolute trash to me no matter what and pretty much always has.
What some people don't realize is that the NES, SNES, and Genesis rendered games at 60fps. So... games that are incredibly fluid, smooth, and responsive like Sonic the Hedgehog, Super Mario... those games were 60FPS.
Then when game developers started trying to do 3D, the hardware couldn't support 60FPS easily. So we got a whole bunch of 30FPS 3D games, and sometimes sub-30. I'm talking Playstation and Saturn era.
This 30FPS trend carried forward on the consoles into the 360 / PS3 era. Meanwhile on PC, 3D frame rate was only limited by your ability to buy the best hardware.
So there's been this weird acceptance on console of 30FPS as "normal" for a while, when in reality, console players have gone backwards since the days of Sonic and Mario, and PC players never had to accept 30FPS as standard.ZombieRommel on YouTube - UFC3 coverage has begun!Comment

The 60 render allows you to SEE twice as many frames per second, which can make reacting to small movements easier at top levels (like transitions or the flinches before a strike).

Out-of-play scenes dropping to 30 are fine for me(a lot of sports games do this). But if I'm actually on the sticks I really need a smooth image to be able to play and enjoy a sports game.Comment

So if I just get the PS4 pro then it’ll run smooth like I see on UFCVeteran’s stream? Right now I’m on a Samsung tv but I want to get a bigger TV and seen something about 4K TVs not running ufc 3 smoothly and the other games like madden in 60fps I don’t know much about all of this so Im probably sounding stupid, just want to get the right tv and switch to PS4 pro lolComment

To my understanding PS4 pro operates at 60hz, you only need a 60 hz 4K tv or monitor to get max visual performance from your PS4 proComment

Re: It's jarring going from playing on PS4 Pro to Xbox One original
For what? Games aren’t advertising themselves at 60FPS then running 30. If you don’t like 30 FPS then don’t play games that render at that frame rate. To be honest before I got a PS4 Pro I was acclimated to 30 FPS and didn’t see a problem with it, which is where the vast majority of console gamers are, but once you get acclimated to 60 you can easily tell the difference. But a lawsuit doesn’t make any sense.Teams: Minnesota Vikings, Cincinnati Reds, Marshall Thundering Herd, Virginia Tech Hokies (2010 alum)Comment

If you have a regular HD TV you won’t have the option and the game will be at 60 FPS in regular HD. So for this game with the correct settings you won’t notice much difference if any at all between a 4K TV and a regular HD TV. That isn’t true for all games though; some go at 4K and 60 FPS on the Pro, and there you would see some difference.Teams: Minnesota Vikings, Cincinnati Reds, Marshall Thundering Herd, Virginia Tech Hokies (2010 alum)Comment

I have an XBox One S but don't have UFC 3 for it --- might have to change thatI did play the 10-hour trial and it was fun, not sure if i noticed a huge difference 60 fps vs. 30 fps but I'm sure there is one
