I will say the knockouts in ufc 2 were weightless and sometimes sent fighters flying across the cage! Thats ridiculous!!!! Now there not perfect but better they need to be tuned and polished up a bit. Now I would like to see guys stiffen up and just drop that would add a sense of realism but lets see what they do. I would also like to see finish the fight make a return I believe it should be split 60% of the time you should be able to finish the fight and 40% walk off ragdoll ko it would make it way more realistic Imo!!

Re: Comparing UFC 2 and UFC 3 Knockout Physics
I've seen dudes flying through the air in UFC 3 as well. Except they were flying through the air playing that stupid animation every single time.
Looking at the comparison, the difference is very clear. The animations in UFC3 are a clear step backward, they look horrible.Comment

Re: Comparing UFC 2 and UFC 3 Knockout Physics
I made two videos to compare UFC 2 to UFC 3 KOs. UFC 2 is much superior. The UFC 3 KOs are from the beta but I don’t feel there is much difference.

Re: Comparing UFC 2 and UFC 3 Knockout Physics
What a stupid thread. All KOs on this movies from ufc 2 happend while opponent was moving with his action and all KOs from ufc 3 happend while opponent was just standing. All KOs in ufc 3 that happen when u catch someone while hes making his move are great.Comment

Re: Comparing UFC 2 and UFC 3 Knockout Physics
It doesn't matter if they are moving or not, it's still a canned animation. Look at how this guy is moving forward before he gets hit. Then when the strike lands, he stops, scoots his feet into position, then dramatically falls to the side. You'd expect his inertia to carry him forward as his body goes limp from the knockout. This looks like a hollywood stunt man over-selling a knockout. And this is one of the better KO's I've seen in UFC 3!
Also, what's with the weird neck snap backs in UFC 3?

Do you think the knockouts look better in UFC 3?

Re: Comparing UFC 2 and UFC 3 Knockout Physics
There's really no comparison. I was looking up some recent UFC 2 knockouts on YT, and even the warping/sliding that we see in the FTF moment in UFC 3 is pretty much non existent, it looks so good. Also the transition to FTF is way faster and the fighter comes in while the downed opponent is still in ragdoll mode. I literally did not notice this before until playing UFC 3. This post deserves more attention. Let's hope something gets done about the KO animations, hopefully full ragdoll, but as long as it's better than it is now I'll take it.Comment

Re: Comparing UFC 2 and UFC 3 Knockout Physics
I really like knockouts UFC 2. Every knockout is unique and I often recorded replays. After 10 days of playing UFC 3, I saw all possible knockouts. Now I skip the replays. I think this is a big step back, knockouts in the MMA game is the main part.Comment

Do any of the GC know if this is on the dev team's radar to improve with a patch?Comment

Re: Comparing UFC 2 and UFC 3 Knockout Physics
I don't believe anyone with a pair of eyes can dispute how far inferior EA UFC 3 KOs look compared to EA UFC's 2.
It's no doubt a huge downgrade. I am sure however, they are ignoring this problem, because of resource issues.
I think they had sat down and applied some sort of physics to each strike in EA UFC 2, to make sure there are not over excessive flips or lift offs and other glitches of the sort.
Then with EA UFC 3, so many different strikes, they didn't have the time to sit around and do the work nescessary to have that physics only system to work.
I actually kinda fell for it, thinking that it was back, after that GPD video on ragdoll KOs being added, but nothing changed from the beta to this... if anything they made them worse at retail.Comment

Edit: No ragdoll from body knockouts, I don't know if something changed or I found a glitch but it's not working anymore.Last edited by TheVirus; 03-04-2018, 06:01 AM.Comment
