It sure does. If you've ever played against a grappler on UT you'll have to defend at least 50 of these across 3 rounds if you don't manage to knock them out first.



I think if you duck while throwing the uppercut it comes out slightly faster if you really want to perfect your defence against the dark arts.

Isn't TDD practically OP as it is?

I would call it unbalanced, not op necessarily.

For example the single leg is absurdly easy to deny even off a missed kick against a fighter with no stamina. But then you have that double leg in the video clip where there isn't even really a denial window.

As mentioned earlier, you can pre-deny that takedown. BrandNewMac has this down pat in UT. In a sea of grapplers, he sits at the top with a team of strikers and brawlers laughing down with his low ground and sub defense stats.

I wouldn't call it a true exploit but that should be fixed as well. You shouldn't be able to pre-deny takedowns.

Pre-Deny of TDs and Clinches should give you a huge vulnerability window --- i.e. if you get cracked with a headkick or overhand while trying to pre deny a TD, you should probably be lights out

Well one more caveat. If you have essentially 0 stamina and opponent has essentially full stamina --- all else equal --- your pre-deny shouldn't work :P

There is no true sprawl on the game without interacting with the takedown. Instead it's an invisible denial. Not the same thing in the least.

Invisible denial? Like leaving yourself wide open while affecting your opponent with nothing? Not everything is reaction based. You can plan ahead or predict something and set yourself up to deny, but at a huge risk. I'm not defending this double leg take-down, I just think pre-denials are fine in general.

Sub attempts guaranteeing a decision win is an exploit as well.

Either make the sub denial windows bigger or lower the impact attempts have on judging. Only subs that make it to stage 3-4 should have any weight on judging.

Yeah guys will intentionally cancel their subs in mount and repeatedly spam them for decisions.

The ducking uppercuts are excessive, as if the game isn't already about slipping and countering as is, I mean you can slip for no reason and throw a strike which seems to deal even more damage if I'm not mistaken. I think when somebody is up close just trying to time that ducking uppercut all the time it gets pretty annoying. From what I understand there is a counter to it... but still...

As if I didn't have enough issues with the subs in this game, and people are still rewarded for spamming sub attempts. I really can't stand the sub system but to have it so easily exploitable makes things so much worse. You can just keep going for it (and some like the darce choke I don't even know why I can't deny it). No real stamina tax for spamming them too or stopping them from doing it.

Is the head kick off caught body kick an exploit? Pretty sure it’s defendable. Plus it’s used in Muay Thai.
