Stephen Thompson should be able to punch after kicking.

Currently he cannot throw a kick and follow it up with a straight. He can't even throw a rear straight - head kick combo. That's a bit ridiculous considering he's one of the best guys to mix it up with kicks and punches.

i do a straight-headkick (that's blocked) and a 1-2-headkick to finish the fight. being able to punch after a kick would be nice tho.

I should be able to throw many combinations but the game's textbook striking mechanics/programmed combos don't allow me to. You should ask for it to be programmed into the game.

steven thompson cant even throw 12 body kick or any strike followed by a body kick. laughable since hes a black belt in karate

stephen has pretty horrible boxing in this game. I destroy him with lawler pretty frequently. There's really no way to use good kicker boxing in this game. Leg kicks, hooks, and uppercuts are the most effective play style

I just want to add my support for this idea. Other high level traditional strikers like Pettis and Machida also should be able to.

It's because of his unique strikes. They have no combos.

If you use a side stepping jab, or kick, or retreating or advancing you can queue like Normal, or if you punch first.

But his.blitz, stationary headkicks and stationary body kick have no combos.. sadly. Similar applies to Cruz with his unique strikes, same workaround applies, sidestepping jabs with Cruz will let you set up all the normal combos, but advancing won't.

I wish we could get the head kick animations from UFC 2 for the guys with level 5 headkicks

Pettis, Thompson, Barbosa can throw them with almost 0 wind up

Yh he's unique in certain aspects, but he lacks certain combinations he should be able to do.
