    Moves to counter other moves

I've seen it mentioned in a couple places, how some moves thrown right as, or right after, your opponents move can effectively counter and trump theirs. The one example I found used was that a hook will beat a jab.

Anyone know of a of rock-papper-scissors like list of moves that beat moves? Based on the lack of documentation in other areas I'm not holding my breath. But if there us such a list it would be nice.

Someone let me know what strikes counter body shots... Don’t say uppercuts because they never land in time.

Backstepping uppercuts or well timed flying knees is what I usually use. Time them stepping in with either and you'll probably get a rock

Funny thing just happened. Guy kept spamming body shots like everyone seems to be doing now (unless they’re spamming sways) and to win I just kept throwing the uppercut over and over again until they eventually ducked into it.

Definitely wish I didn’t have to play like this to deal with it but oh well. I’ll try your solution too.

While I'm asking questions, anyone know if the "guard specialist" perk effects your your transition speed in either top or bottom position? The description for the perk, like many such descriptions is rather unclear.

Looking at the icon and comparing it other similar icons makes me think that it might only be for top position, since the top guy is solid white in the icon, while the bottom guy is just an outline.

lol It is 100% for the bottom guy. Just as the submission perk for Guard is.

Thanks, good to know and I guess more useful to me that way.

So then on the perk icons with both fighters depicted, is it the guy with outline that represents the user rather than the solid white guy?

Asking since like I mentioned often the perk description is a tad unclear.

There’s a body punch that auto sway the upper... it’s a body punch + free counter rock upper to the agressor
