Re: EA Sports UFC 3 Patch 1.05 Spoilers

Things like going from striking to blocking feels worse for some reason. Its really clunky and less responsive.

I'm also really tired of putting in 3 punch combos and them coming out as 5 punch combos. I used to just think maybe I was being reckless but I've been really self conscious about it and making sure I only push 3 buttons. It usually seems like when going forward it makes me throw extra shots. My finger will be on the block button yet my fighter is wildly throwing hooks still.

It looks like leg kick stoppages have returned,i was Woodley vs Lawler and i destroyed Lawler's leg and he dropped repeatedly then finally dropped and he put his hand up that he could not continue, the animation looked great and i had not seen that before from doing repeated leg kicks so stoppage power must have been increased.

I think I need to stick to the tight camera. I've been messing with different views for the last hour or so and being closer to action seems to help me manage space and react to movements much better. Plus, I think not seeing some of the uglier animations play out from the distance creates a disconnect in my mind where I'm not as focused on watching them and it's more about feel and just trying to execute.

I'm gonna have to track down some elite strikers and lab with them at some point. I want to see how they work around some of these mechanics and pick their brains. It's wild to me that we have two sides here who view this aspect of the game in such completely different lights. UFC 3 has officially turned us into the Madden section lol.

Now you're complaining that if you don't finish on finish the fight opportunities the fight should be ended faster? Ok fine, but is that really the most important thing to work on right now?
This is a prime example of why I say you cant make everybody happy in this game, and I'll be honest, I definitely do not envy you. Everybody is so inconsistent and all over the place when it comes to what should be changed in this game and what works,. I'll be honest, if I was the lead developer I'd tell most these guys to eat one. I'd listen to the people with constructive criticism and that would be about it.

I thought I was the only one, but lately me and my buddies have been playing on the tight camera also. It just has an overall better feel imo and being close to the action also looks better cuz you're seeing the fighter models up close and camera shakes and that cool stuff. But like you say, I also feel like it helps me a bit more with spacing and all that too.

I’d use the tight camera angle as a default if it showed the complete fighter.

A TV camera angle should be introduced too. It basically would be a mix of all the current camera angles but would cut between the different camera angles like UFC fights on TV. Cuts should be fluid and minimal so it doesn’t become jarring.

I'd be happy with the current balance if we could actually reliably jump on our opponent when they went into a FTF position.

Currently when you try to jump on someone or even jump into their guard directly after a severe KD you'll just punch the air as if they were still standing and they'll recover about 80% of the time.

Or aren't these counted as severe KDs even though they use the same animations??

If your fighting a good grappler or a lay and preyer its not really worth risking it until you've landed 4-6 KDs and the FTF position is lasting for ages.

Edit: it actually seems a bit more responsive since the patch. However I may just be getting more long severe head knockdowns because of the slowed short term regen.

I've always used default camera before hearing about this. It gives huge advantage and game feels way better with tight camera. Also starting to get really comfortable with the patch & new head movement system. Combo speed isn't even issue as you get used to it.

OH MAH GAAAWD, THEY GAVE WONDERBOY MUAY THAI COMBOS lvl 1!!! He can finally throw a rear body kick off a straight.

Also, still not a fan of tight personally, but it would be good for online or boxing matches, for sure, I'm using it now and my only complaint is it cuts the lower legs off a bit much for my liking.

I like Classic a fair bit myself.

I've had quite a few good fights since I switched to this last night. I feel like I've wasted a lot of time with this game not being on this view from the beginning. I thought this was a really good one between a Holloway user and me. This was the flow of the majority of my fights had last night, and this is more of what I'm trying to see and do as far as stand-up goes.

I can’t stress this enough of how good these DLC fighters look.

Mike Perry and Josh Emmett look so detailed.

So far every DLC fighter that has come out look amazing.

The EA art team has done a great job with these fighters and making them look so realistic. 👍🏻
