The dilemma between Ranked and Quick matches

In ranked, once you pass a certain rank (im around 1650~1700), you generally face the same fighters (GSP, JDS, T.Ferg/Conor) etc. Some top fighters like Zombie will use other fighters like Lineker. I feel at a great disadvantage using lower rated characters.

But if you jump on quick match, the level of competition drops drastically. Additionally, people quit very fast. If they are losing or if they get taken down.

I'm wondering if there is any solution to this at all. Maybe buffing the rank points from low rated characters a lot more? Making grappling more interesting?

I know it's hard to keep track of discussions due to the format of the forums, and it's not your fault, but it's well discussed and acknowledged as an issue that there is little to no incentive to not use the highest ranked/skilled fighters. There's no word on if this is something being looked into but you're preaching to the choir.

There is zero incentive to use lower rated characters on ranked except the pleasure of knowing you won using a lower rated character.

          This

I get nothing when I beat people with Derrick Lewis or OSP but god forbid I get mauled by Werdum or Cormier.

That or you can play ESFL and pick lower rated fighters, win by EPIC ko and live on in infamy, much like me.
