Jab and straight combo spam a little OP

I like where the striking is at, I really do. But there are two things that make the jab and straight slightly OP.

    1. They don’t cost the user enough stamina. This allows the user to use these punches all day long to wear down the block over time. Also lunges aren’t fantastic at avoiding them due to the magnetic strikes but that’s another issue.

    2. The slip counter doesn’t do enough damage. If you stuff it up, you get a jab and a straight to the face, doing a fair amount of damage. If you slip correctly and land a counter, it doesn’t do much damage at all. IRL, this can END a fight.

Seems like we are always going back to Stamina Tax. /interesting

By the way I'm SUPER in favor of boosting the Stamina Tax. I throw a ton of strikes right now too but if the tax was where it should be... I'd adjust.

... it wouldn't be so bad if back sway could sway Both the jab And the straight. But the straight will always connect.

also I agree the jab straight does not drain enough stam. I played someone using a Michael Bisping at the end of rd 2 he threw over 300 punches. And despite me working the body the best I could, his stam was nearly 100%. (primarily jab and then straight over and over again)

Blocked punches need to be taxed more, its the only way to balance someone having punch stats that resemble 80/300

I'm guessing the logic behind not increasing the damage off the sway, would be because at the point the jab would no longer be a safe strike to throw.. but yea its a bit of a problem when people abuse it

A jab is one of those things that can be safe or risky, depending on how predictable it is. A jab thats gets countered by an overhand shouldnt be a safe strike.

Great post, that is something I am concerned about. The jab should be a safe strike. I think stamina is the real culprit.
