Why are headkicks allowed to be thrown while in phone booth range

Beats me. I've brought up this issue before and heard crickets.
Players have figured out a way to negate the range requirements by throwing a punch first... usually a punch to the body followed by the head kick, or a straight to the head followed by the head kick. It's infuriating.
You have every right to be angry about this. It shouldn't be happening. -

Spinning kick when in close range tooComment

Yeah I've been knocked out from a 1-2 rear high kick in the pocket when I'm throwing a cross after their 2. It's a bit dumb.Comment

Jab spinning kick has to be the worse from Edson, literally standing infront of me and takes my head off while im leaning. sickening.PSNID: B_A_N_EComment

Re: Why are headkicks allowed to be thrown while in phone booth range
The range for headkicks really needs to be set in a strict way. Guys like Barboza or Dillashaw are a nightmare with combos ended by a headkick.Comment

Re: Why are headkicks allowed to be thrown while in phone booth range
Another way they could at least improve this is making the shin or foot required to hit your head, and anything else would be zero damage. I've been so close before that the knee of my opponent hit my head when they were throwing a high kick. Did full damage.
Obviously proper knee strikes to the head can be devastating, but during a high kick that is not where all the energy or impact is. It might hurt in real life but it would rarely do any real damage.Comment

Re: Why are headkicks allowed to be thrown while in phone booth range
This is one of the things I agree with. Throw a stationary rear straight followed by a rear head kick. It comes out as fast as a hook.
Combine that with the ability to do it at short range and you have a high damage, high speed, low risk strike that is capable of rocking someone off a jab.Comment

Re: Why are headkicks allowed to be thrown while in phone booth range
I hate getting koed by someone's thigh i could even live with the knee getting ko but not the THIGH its too much.
Whats up with hit detection it seems really screwed up i only notice it during ko replay but assume its screwed up all the time we just dont notice it.
I got koed by uppercut thats like a foot away almost whats up with thatComment

The hit detection is wack, i get hit my stomach kicks all the time that should have never landed.PSNID: B_A_N_EComment

The head kicks this person was landing are exactly what i was talking about.
Also, can somebody please tell me what to do in rubber guard? guys are getting me there and just utterly destroying my head (which is something that makes no sense) what do i need to do to escape that?PSNID: B_A_N_EComment

So I looked at these kicks and they definitely land shin to head, so they're at the correct distance in that sense, but the problem is what happens prior to him throwing a kick.
Look at the combo at 3:17
Even though his body seemed to be leaning forward to throw that straight punch, he just slides backwards as if he's being force pushed while on ice, into the range to even throw that kick. If that magic backslide doesn't happen, he would've hit your ribs with his thigh.
It's again the unrealistic magnetic sliding that's at the core of the problem.
If people had to mind their positioning better rather than sliding into the perfect distance automatically and unrealistically, this wouldn't be an issue at all.Comment

It is particularly important that this gets addressed, after the duck nerf.Comment
