But it's a bit too restrictive on player creativity, and the way the combos are presented are a mess. You go into practice mode, open up your combos, and see a hundred combos just for boxing.

Where do you start? Which combos are worth learning? Why do I have to open a bunch of menus to see the moves, then close a bunch of menus to actually practice the combo? You should be able to 'pin' the combo you're learning on-screen like you can in fighting games.

    what?

what fighting game have you played where you can pin your combos on the screen in training mode?

are you talking about the useless gimmick combos in trials?

In almost every real fighting game the system is much more free form than the game giving you viable combinations.

Man when u face a person that use a lot of combos the game really turns in a tekken game...

UFC 2 had a great combo system. The only 2 problems with it were the combo multiplier, and the low stamina cost for throwing head kicks.

All they had to do was change those 2 things.

In UFC 3, basically every fight I'm in ends up being 3 rounds of my opponent and I going back and forth, taking turns throwing the same combos over and over again, separated by the occasional body kick or attempted (and failed) counter striking on each side.

Everything feels insanely scripted and limiting.

Yh sadly the game online is all about combos and breaking block. The stamina system doesn't punish enough for ppl throwing tons of strikes and the block is weak (cuz ppl cried it was too strong) so now they can do one little 3 piece and have your block broken. Then proceed to try to get a kd.

I disagree. I see plenty of variety in play style and combo types among players. There is no 'one' combo for everything. Many combos work.
