Mixing up your strikes (fighter uniqeness)

As we all know the meta on competitive online play is now boxing and breaking the block with combos, with a little bit of head movement mixed in to drain stamina.
This style is the most effective way of playing no matter who your using, whether fighting as Wonderboy, or Nick Diaz.
That is a major problem in EA UFC 3, the problem is being caused by many things, the lack of viable footwork and distance management options, the lack of stamina tax on non-stop combos, combos causing a lot of damage, fighter rating playing a big factor (Conor, Whittaker, GSP, Diaz bro's)

I have some ideas that might be able to help breakdown this current style we see 95% of the time we hop on ranked
1- Increase the speed of fighter locomotion in general, i'm not saying everybody should be able to skate around the cage like Tony Hawk after taking a bump of coke, i'm just saying I think fighter movement should be a little bit quicker in general.

2- Replace the current lunges we have with the lunges from EA UFC 2, if that is done we should be able to actually cut angles and circle off the cage when someone is pressuring us non-stop.

3- Add more of a stamina tax on combos, nobody should be able to march forward like a platoon of soldiers throwing 150 block breaking strikes per round

4- Make missed strikes cost a little less stamina, or make it more even with blocked strikes so not everybody is bobbing and weaving like Anderson Silva on PEDs.

5- Make kicks more of a viable option, right now kicks are pretty much useless, the only effective kick is a rear headkick on a rocked opponent who just got blasted with a three piece combo, I don't know if anyone has experienced this, but have you ever thrown a well timed leg kick, have it land clean, just to have someone immediatley follow up with a 3-piece combo that you can't block that knocks your head into orbit? I understand countering with straight down the pipe as long as you throw that strike before the leg kick lands, but if I throw a leg kick, and it lands clean, you shoud be able to throw right afterwards, but I should also have the option to block. Also speed up kicks in general they are painfully slow.

I wrote this post on my phone, so if the spacing looks goofy i'll edit it on my laptop later, Please feel free to add what you think will improve the gameplay and overall diversity of striking.

Edit: Yes, I misspelled Uniqueness in the title and i'm not sure how to edit it.

I don't really see how these changes would increase play diversity. There is always going to be a meta that people will follow. People were throwing 1-2 headkicks in UFC 2 even with guys who hardly ever threw kicks. The average ranked tryhard will also always opt in for the most aggressive strategy because that is the fastest way to rack up Ws (and therefore increase your rating).

I think if you want to have more diverse play styles then you should probably look at giving characters more distinct strengths that they need to utilize to be effective. A good Conor player should revolve his whole striking around his cross for instance while someone like Bisping should avoid brawls and point score his way to victory. As it stands now, you can use all guys very similarly and have success.

However, even then there would be some strengths that would be stronger in-game and thus those guys would become overused regardless.
    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

We need more points for using lower rated guys

It’s okay that you misspelled uniqueness. It adds to the uniqueness of the post
