Re: using LEFT stick for head movement
i use the minor back step sometimes in the late rounds as thompson to break shorter guy's combos. I wouldnt use this as a primary defense, I've seen some guys try to use this as a defense and I usually open them up with a jab lead hook/hook or body kick, plus it doesnt have the counter window that head movement does, but is less riskyComment

Re: using LEFT stick for head movement
I do this with guys who jab a lot. If you do it well, they can’t even tell you’re doing it and suddenly you have a stamina advantage and they don’t know why.

I'm bad at using them. If you guys have videos of fights where you used them a lot, I'd like to watch and try to learn. I've seen Zombie Rommel using them with major elegance.Comment

Re: using LEFT stick for head movement
I suck at the side slips unless the opponent is reliably spamming straight strikes.
But I love the back slide with karate stance fighters like Machida, feels great when you juuust slide out of the way of a strike then fire off a straight.Comment

Re: using LEFT stick for head movement
These are the minor lunges done by flicking the left stick. I have been using them for a while now.
They are real effective with people who have high footwork stats.
It's good against straight strikes, but hooks/round strikes get you in trouble when using the minor lunges.Comment

Re: using LEFT stick for head movement
Haven’t had success Beirut them against kicks or hooks but they’re super effective against jab straights. Easy modeComment
