The ground and pound looks absolutely shocking in this game. The way the fighter flails his arms in the air or the knock out animations look so F-ING bad it's laughable. I'm hoping the next patch really improves grappling and clinch.

Now that there can't be many left to do, how about a definitive list of everything folk have been asking for? It's been stressed if you want something in it, make the Devs aware.

For me, the clinch now needs to take precedence. A quicker entry into the clinch would be great. It's so easy to telegraph and deny.

How about a pawing motion as well for managing distance and stopping the opponent advancing, I seen in another thread that the push mechanic could be used if the uppercut buttons were held. This is a great shout and should be done.

Better animations and impact from strikes from the clinch should be done if possible, and maybe some sort of head control where you can properly smash elbows.

I think the standing elbows can be adjusted as well, don't think they are well respresented at all.

Any more for a proper list for the Devs to see?

In the follow ups to KDs, make it so you can strike right away, not wait one second. That freeze really sucks.

Pretty much done with this game. Opponents still rock me mid combo when we'll both queue the same combo up. I'll land the first two shots - attempting to land my third and get rocked by his same first two shots that I just landed.

                    Continually happens.

Not to mention Heavyweight is an abomination on this game. Gas tanks are horribly represented as is strike output/speed. Throwing 4 hit combos with regularity when most heavyweight exchanges are much more relaxed.

Not to mention there's little reason to not start your combo with a lead hook or uppercut. Any other punch is cheating yourself.

That’s just not true. Jabs and straights are effective to start combos with if you know what you’re doing... GIT. GUD.

I disagree - it's way more rewarding to lead with hooks and uppers. Jabs were too effective before, but they were too easy to counter as well and still are.

Yeah I've only started noticing this today. When you follow into guard, you can't do anything. Really takes you out of the experience and slows it right down.

The grappling itself is much more responsive and fluid now, though.

Regarding stamina - I think the problem, or a big part of it, lies in the stamina recovery between rounds. It replenishes as much stamina as needed so it can be full again, until the reserve gas tank is depleted. The reserve gas tank carries enough stamina (way too much in my opinion) to last one 3 rounds. This makes it not merely a reserve gas tank, which gives the fighter a breather in the space of a minute, but a life support system. In real life people will gas out by the third if they keep throwing 4 pieces and missing or hitting the block like that, especially heavyweights. I have no problem with the fighter regaining some energy, but not that much of it. I think this whole system should be revamped and thought about. No attention has been given to it at all. Someone made this observation in another thread too, and it's 100% correct.

just come back to the game after a long break, but the game feels worse in many areas. I feel the stamina is still in a bad place ive got guys walking me down throwing strikes and hook spam, combo spam and still having good stamina.

Still feels like tekken when you are inside fighting everyone queing up the same combos on the inside to see who lands first for the rock. Feels harder to outside fight while you got quick and powerful overhands closing distance quickly with no stamina penalty.

Seems like the merging of kick/punch speed & kick/punch power really hurt the game from launch, ive got cody garbrant throwing lightning headkicks at me, when it should be just his hand speed doing the talking.

pressure fighting is still too easy compared to the rest.
