The PS4 Pro makes quite a difference in this game.

I've had a Pro for about a week now, but hadn't played online on UFC since then. I knew the graphics would be better, but I didn't account for the frame rate improvement at all. Wow, what a difference. I already play on a monitor, which was very helpful, but this makes things that much smoother. Very pleased with the purchase.

Now you have to forgive me for posting this pic, but you just don't understand. I generally can't tap out ANYONE in this game, it's crazy. And it made absolutely no sense to me what I was doing wrong because I felt like I had a decent understanding of the submission system. First fight out, I tap a GSP with Mickey Gall. Qué? What is this sorcery?

In the next fight, I was very close to tapping another opponent with Rashad right before the round ended too. I can get used to this. My stand-up felt a lot more responsive as well, which doesn't hurt. I'm going to be playing around with this a lot over the weekend, but the difference from my old launch console to the Pro was noticeable immediately. You might want to give it a shot if you haven't already.

Curious which made a bigger impact the pro or the monitor. I use a big screen 74 in to play. Every now and then I play on a smaller tv and i feel faster

Both are huge. Been playing on a monitor for about a year and the jump from playing on my old tv was drastic too. I really don't know how I had any success on that tv I had. So to get even more responsiveness and a smoother frame rate on top of that is a nice bonus.

I have a 1ms monitor and dont feel like it makes that big a difference, maybe its just me. The Pro vs the standard ps4 does feel different tho, it just looks more beautiful imo too.

Lol, just go back and play UFC 3 on a normal PS4.
It's damn near impossible once you're used to the Pro.

i ve bought pro because of ufc3. Its just a different feeling playing this on pro - less input, more responsiveness, much more smooth. 60fps is much better than 30 in online competitive gaming right

                we understand
                30fps and 60fps is different
That's why we always ask for EA, we want 60 FPS

but in UFC 2 they say :
“We’ve found that going to 60fps doesn’t have a hugely beneficial impact, and people in testing have told us that the game actually looks better at 30fps with motion blur.”

we know that's a bunch of baloney

                PS4 UFC 3 60fps just only for PS4 PRO

I also bought a pro just for this game. It actually feels like a totally different game. I was a ud3 nuthugger for a long time but I've played the **** out of this game. I really did not like the first 2 games of this series at all.

This game has the best striking hands down in an mma game. The only thing I'm holding out for is some sort of rag doll physics on kos. Not the the end of the world but i think it would add to the immersion. Fantastic game

It is nice that the game is rendered at 60fps, but what annoys me the most is that it isn't a true 60fps, and thus you still have the same old 30fps delay. They REALLY should've stripped back the graphics as much as they had to so the regular PS4 could've ran the game at a true 60fps. Look at UD3, it doesn't look BRILLIANT (the models are good for the time though) and there's a lack of anti aliasing but honestly, I couldn't care less. It is so snappy and responsive to the point where I don't notice the graphics at all, and am super engaged in the gameplay.

Here's hoping for UFC 4, but then again none of EA's MMA/Boxing games have ever been a proper 60fps. Odd when considering almost every other sports game they make, is.

I upgraded to the X just for this game, I could never go back to 30fps

I thought they were at least. Even if they're not then (a lot are at least rendered at 60fps), the point still stands. A true 60fps would definitely make UFC 3 feel more responsive IMO.

Question for dev, why is the actual gameplay silky smooth 60 fps but cut scenes between rounds are 30 fps? It gets choppy after the round. Is that intentional? Maybe too demanding on hardware or something

Hmm... this would explain those random matchups where you just get your *** handed to you (of course some would be just a better opponent)
