If you buy it every year, maybe. I buy PES every 3 years or so because I only play it occasionally and it's a great deal. It's the way the UFC games are released now, which is good. But if you play EA UFC a lot buying it once a year won't be that bad.


Plus, yearly released titles often go together with great reductions of the previous titles. If also gives you the chance to promote it differently. Having Ronda and McGregor on it right now is kind of a failure. But then again: EA manages to completely mistime their promotions to the point it's laughable. I guess they're unlucky.



I didn't say I'm in favor of this idea. Just wouldn't be against it. The plus side is you'll be playing a "new" version every year, but there'll be less support of it. Lazy devs are what makes "bad" games.

I really doubt they will release the next game in quarter 1.

I don’t blame them. The game is 8 mos old so it’s time to start thinking about the next one.

Just a question, how long before release do people get to know things regarding development, what's being worked on,
etc? Is there any preview of sorts where feedback is given or do people on here learn about the new game just like everyone else does? I would assume this is the case but I thought I'd ask.

The game changers tend to learn about things much earlier than the public. For example, I knew about things like the Cruz and Wonderboy movement and strikes a year or so before release. But there is a lot of stuff I don’t know. For example, I’m sure they are already planning stuff for ufc 4 but I honestly don’t have a clue what it is.

As for OS, you guys find out when everyone else does unless gpd or skynet decided to hinto at or announce something here.

I think the biggest question is will there be a break for fight night? It was once a staple in the EA sports franchise and people ask for it CONSTANTLY. literally every new ea ufc reveal the top comment on videos is "BRING BACK FIGHT NIGHT" I think after 3 UFC games and 7 years that they'd do a boxing game. Then again UFC is more popular than ever so who knows

No matter how
I am still looking forward to UFC3 getting better new things and patches
Because this game was launched in February this year.

If UFC 4 starts working
That UFC 3 is the end

I like the idea of an annual release, but I have to imagine all the awesome changes and updates these devs work on aren't that simple. some of the other annual sport games felt cookie cutter (except when they made the jumps to next gen consoles).
