Needs to be more going on in cage td positions
I find this position probably the most stalling position in the game. If both guys just don't do anything and wait for someone to transition, its just one big stall. There needs to be a bit more going on. I say just add two simple things to these positions to make them a bit more active. These are strikes for the DOM fighter (knees to the leg) and allow a break option for SUB fighter in the double leg cage position also. That way there can be a bit more activity in the position like irl. Irl, both fighters are throwing little strikes here and there and are a bit more active in these positions, despite them being stalling positions.

Re: Needs to be more going on in cage td positions
The cage strikes were added to mitigate this. I find it odd they didn't add cage elbows, as they are the most effective and most often use cage strike.
In any event, the dominant fighter has no way to build GA unless they fake a takedown and the opponent bites. However, the opponent can rack up GA pretty quickly with the cage punches. This kind of evened out the positions. Still something that definitely needs to be expanded on in the next installment, though.
Cage pressure is one of the biggest aspects of the sport and one of the most underdeveloped in the game. -

An escape move from the double leg position would be very nice, imo. Maybe it could look like hitting a switch.Comment

Yh cud be a switch animation or one where you grab the over/under, pull them up and quickly spin off the cage. I just feel it's needed to balance both positions out. No idea why they only included a break option from just single leg position.Comment

Re: Needs to be more going on in cage td positions
also on the defensive side, when you block that power double, and when your opponent posture is low after the block.....Travis Browne HELLBOWS baby, with stopping power if damage is low enoughLast edited by burningxspirit; 10-18-2018, 10:08 PM.Comment

Re: Needs to be more going on in cage td positions
Three things that should be added to cage TD:
Dom being able to transition to double/single leg from the clinch.
Dom being able to switch between a single or double.
Back clinch against the cage. As it stands, if you push your opponent to the cage when in back clinch, nothing happens. I’d like to see the cage come into play.
Those three things would certainly spice things up a bit. All three were possible in UFC Undisputed 3, by the way.
Edit: I believe momentum transitions can be used better as well. For example, immediately after a double leg, SUB fighter should have a momentum transition to stand directly back to cage clinch.Last edited by Good Grappler; 10-19-2018, 10:35 AM.Xbox GT: the relaxed guyComment
