Please feel to correct anything I’m saying that’s inaccurate.
Short term striking stamina:
Slight speed/reduction until you’re “gassed” (I believe around 15% of short term stamina)
Long term stamina drain increases the lower short term stamina is.
Vulnerability is severely increased when lowered
Long term striking stamina:
Slight speed/power reduction. Doesnt become severe until around lowered to around 40%.
Vulnerability is severely increased when lowered
The way stamina works with striking is that you can still do damage and maintain some speed until it’s gets pretty low. However You are more vulnerable and run the risk of big damage.
The way grappling stamina currently works IMO it plays waaay too big of a role in transition speed/denial. Transitioning at even 80% short term stamina makes a huge difference in transition speed. Short term stamina should work just like it does for striking.
Have a slight reduction in transition speed until you “gas” (stamina bar flashing). This would help speed up the ground game a bit since getting denied once wouldnt mean you have to always sit and wait for temporary stamina to recover.
To balance the change, have lower short term stamina play a larger role in submissions. This would mimic the severe vulnerability seen on the feet and makes sub specialists more dangerous.
TL;DR - Lower the impact of temporary stamina on transition speed. Increase impact of temporary stamina for submissions. This would mimic the way striking stamina works
