I would also say you should never ever go for a RNC from back mount or back flat, you could lose position and very rarely will you get a finish because these are usually 5 gate subs. Once you get back flat, you should posture up here and throw hammer fists while denying up after they land. It's one of the easiest ways to get a finish on the ground.

Besides these two points, I do agree that there should have been more activity in the grappling and less emphasis on pure control. Still, I would make this a 29-28 for Khabib.
Back mount I disagree. You can definitely go for a RNC from flat, without any downsides. Runs the clock and you keep position if they escape. Even late gate escapes you stay on top. As soonas getting back mount I go for back flat. If I get back flat, I’ll stall for a bit then use the RNC to stop a ref stand up (if I can’t flatten them I’ll return to BSC). If from back flat, they block the RNC... then sure, I’ll try some GnP. But I don’t like any GnP from here due to the stamina drain for posturing.

I can see what you’re saying on the postured HG. If you’re on your A game, you can do that stuff. But I just feel like the path of least resistance is to always take a free transition to SC. Just adds one more step for your opponent to retain FG. HG can far too easily become FG against skilled opponents. The HG fakes are just too hard to deal with before GA is established.

I’ve just spent so many hours literally skating on thin ice in the guards of skilled T-Ferg/Diaz users, and this is the system I’ve developed for top game against such players.

This is all just preference probably. I’m sure either way works. If you’re on Xbox we can compete and see which one works better.
