I feel like you should be able to see who your opponent picks in ranked because i feel like it would bring more diversity into the fighters we see being picked. I think the main problem is people (at least me) don't want to pick a B rated fighter and end up going up against a A+ fighter and have a loss on their record.

I agree, I’d love that too but it’s honestly for the better. If I remember correctly in fight night you could see the opponents choice and people would quit out of the lobby over any choice really. It also led to a lot of baiting, dudes would sit on a low level fighter to make you think that’s who they were picking just to switch to Isaac frost or something.

I loved that. They'd highlight one character above or below Frost. You'd pick a comparable fighter and they'd do the quick switch.
Then they'd rage quit when I'd stoop to their level by running while they fanned haymakers round after round and I'd spam their body lolComment

They could literally get rid of baiting with a countdown once both players have made their pick.
It would work like the fighter select we have in ufc 2 (with the 60 second countdown) we will call this the general countdown
Except the 3 second countdown would happen if the player picks his fighter before the last 10 seconds of the general countdown or something like that
The 3 second countdown would work like the one implemented in Fifa Ultimate team online matches
(After pausing in the middle of a game if you were to resume the match you are given a 3 second countdown before the game begins except in UFC you will be able to cancel before the countdown hits 0.
If the opponent waits until the last few seconds of the general countdown you know he is baiting you
My idea is that people will eventually be more honourable and pick players outright instead of scummy baiting but the 3 second countdown is an easy way around it and adds to replayability as you wont come up against Conor every fight in lightweight.Comment

Just let us see the rating of the opponent fighter when we’re choosing. That way we’ll know if they’re using an A fighter or whatever.
I think we need more incentives to use lower ranked fighters though. I think it’s good that we already have it so we get extra points for winning, but we should really get more than we currently do.
My biggest issue is actually with mirror matches. I’d rather fight the same 2 or 3 popular fighters every time than have to play a single mirror match. In fact, I purposely put myself at a disadvantage and take worse fighters because I know that it means there’s far less chance of me having to play against the same fighter. If the ability to see who your opponent is choosing is not added to the next game, I’d love it if we could choose our fighter BEFORE queuing for a game, that way we could get matched with people who chose a different fighter.Comment

They need to make you more likely to be matched up with fighters of that tier. So B fighters go against B fighters and A fighters go against A and A+ fighters. Or just make losing to B fighters alot more punishing than it is. If B tier fighter wins against a top 100 A+ guy that dude should lose 50 points and you gain 50.
Nothing is ever going to change until the incentive is good enough to do so.Comment
