I find myself getting impatient for someone else to ask, so I guess this time I'll be that guy.

Whats the word on the November patch?

When you go to Ranked don't press Advance immediately, lest you skip a message saying when the season ends. The message pops up a few days before it drops and whenever the season ends - that's when the patch will drop.

I have not played ranked in like 4 seasons at least, so when I just tried that it said a new season was open now (season 7).

Is that the season we are on now? Is season 7 the new season? If it is the new season, there be no patch yet.

Season 7 is the current season. Season 8 is the next one and the message should announce the end of S7, usually in a few days time.

Alright thanks man. Guess this gonna be a later patch. Fine with me, I was just getting uncomfortable with the lack of people asking about the patch this month.

Patch probably won’t do/be much. 16 month countdown to UFC 4, give or take.

Far as I know we've released over 10 free patches so far for UFC 3, all of which have had substantial changes. What makes you think this patch won't have such changes, or that we're 14 months from releasing some magical new title?

While I don't personally draw the same conclusions as the post you are referring too, I think I can offer you some insight:

-The last patch had the least amount of "major changes" (pretty subjective but I think many feel this way) and I guess being this late in the game's life-cycle one may be inclined to feel the patches are winding down/coming to a close.
-He is assuming UFC 4 has been in the works and is following the same release pattern as UFC 2/3

These are pretty big assumptions (especially this next patch not having much content) but I think that is where they are coming from.
