Re: New Fighter Update!
Lmfao. Like I said. This man definitely needs to be in the game. He’s hilarious. ****ing worked his whole life to get a win in the UFC, and all he asks for in his interview is “Dana white. Put me in the videogame!”Xbox GT: the relaxed guyComment

Was tony Ferguson’s td’s lowered to 85 at some point? Was almost positive it was 87 and he had the ankle pickComment

Re: New Fighter Update!
I checked the pre release chart and it was an 85 and he's only fought once since the game was released and his TDs werent changed.
That means he never had the ankle pick given that people under 87 dont have it.
If you guys want to argue that he should have one, I'm sure the devs are willing to listen. I dont know if the fact that he told Werdum he would ankle pick him means he should have one. A better argument is that he grabbed for one in the Lee fight even though the one he attempted doesnt look like the one in game at all.Comment

It was never an 87 as much as i can see. It was always an 85 and has never been dropped or raised.

Re: New Fighter Update!
Lets take a midlevel fighter like Evan Dunham. He has a lower percentage than Tony (33%) but averages more per fight and in many of his fights has landed 2 plus takedowns in a fight. What is Dunham's takedown rating? 85.
Since 2011, Ferguson has landed a grand total of 3 takedowns in UFC fights. 3. He's also never landed more than 1 takedown total in a fight in his entire career except for his debut where he landed 2.
An argument for his side is that he won a div 3 wrestling championship but its kinda hard to ignore the data. He doesnt attempt alot of takedowns but when he does...he really isnt that successful at them on a UFC level.
So we could bump Ferg up simply because he won a D3 championship or we could go off of what he's done over 10 plus fights. If thats the case, we would have to redo alot of stats if we are weighing pre-UFC accomplishments higher.
Keep in mind, I'm not talking about Ferg's grappling as a whole. Just his ability to take people down.Comment

Re: New Fighter Update!
Looking at percentages like that is completely wrong imo. Theres innumerable variables that go into numbers like that.
Look at experience and technique. Not stats.
This brings me back to the T City arguement. I don't need to see numbers and stats to see him employ multiple different dynamic blocking techniques, where most guy only use the most basic closed door block. To me, imo, that shows Ortegas defensive technique is on another level. Hes literally using multiple different techniques to defend and block. That shows a superior level of skill. Again this is just my opinion though.Last edited by Haz_____; 12-02-2018, 06:52 PM.Comment

Re: New Fighter Update!
It would make sense if thats all we had to go off of. We dont. We have 15 UFC fights in which he didnt attempt a ton of takedowns and when he did he was about average in landing them.
As I stated before, Ferguson has completed 3 takedowns in almost 8 years. He has around 10 for his entire career. Now maybe if he attempted more takedowns in his fights, he would show us that he is a elite level takedown fighter. He hasnt so we are left with what his fights have shown us.
If the argument is he should be a 87 or 88, I'm sure people can make that argument. I'm willing to listen. Its 1 or 2 points so its not a huge change. What I was responding to was Papadoc describing that rating as "criminal" (which is a bit extreme) when his performances kind of back up his rating.Last edited by aholbert32; 12-02-2018, 04:40 PM.Comment

Re: New Fighter Update!
TDO of some fighters has been increased after patch #7.

Who? I don’t recall anyone’s td rating being increased because of a patch. The only changes I’ve seen have been in relation to a fight update.
