The first one is the whip situation after a knockdown - currently all you have to do is hold one button and you'll block anything coming your way, whether it's a knee to the body or to the head. This makes the mechanic absolutely pointless. The defender should have to choose what body part they want to block.
The other one is the upkick, both of its varieties. This is a strike that doesn't land as often in MMA, but every time I see it land it does a lot of damage and stuns the recipient, it's a big deal. Every fighter actively looks to avoid getting hit by those. Mousasi even knocked out Jacare with one. In the feet on hips variety in the game, it does nothing but to gently get the guy off you and on top of that it's also blocked by just holding the button and it takes all of the kicker's stamina if they keep kicking. Blocking it definitely needs a fix, blocking each kick should be timed and a separate action, no holding. In terms of damage there should be a significant damage dealt and even a possible slight rock like with the thai clinch.
The other variety is when they try to jump down on you and you kick them in the face. The very animation displays a very vicious kick on a diving opponent, yet there are no real repercussions other than the guy being pushed aside. This one should deal even more damage and potentially even drop the guy trying to dive in.
