    CPU vs CPU UFC 3

It might seems strange to some of you, but something I loved to do in UFC 2 was to set-up CPUvCPU fights and just watch it.
I know, it doesn't replicate a real fight, but to me it was just a fun tool to see how some fight that never occurred could turn out.

Now, the problem I have in UFC 3 is the fact that pretty much every fights end with a sub in the first or second round.
Decision are non-existent from my experience, and the only fights which end-up with a KO are when two strikers are matched-up.
I tried to tweak the sub sliders but it really didn't change much for me.
In UFC 2, I ran kind of an "UFC Universe", and Decisions, KOs and SUBs were about as evenly spread out as real life fights outcomes.

So with that being said, I just wanted to know if some of you had the same problem or figured out a way to have watchable, with varied outcomes, fights.

I’ve been doing this in Tournament mode to sort of build drama for the fights. The issue with fights ending in submissions too early is entirely due to the fact that the AI does NOT escape submissions in an effective manner at all. They use all four gates even on the final stages of a submission which is idiotic. It’s basically a bug that I would say needs fixing ASAP.

I do this a lot too ...but not to the extent of creating a universe or anything just a simple tournament or CPU vs CPU fight to entertain myself whilst doing something else . I haven't noticed that most fights end in submission tho .

Then again not that I doubt you . Which fighters have you been using in your Sims ...

I am also enjoying doing it from the time of UFC in Dreamcast. Even now, I sometimes enjoy drinking while watching this. EA MMA has memories that I regret that I could not do this.

I would love to do this but unforunately the sliders are human vs cpu instead of red vs blue corner.

It really limits customization between matches.

Putting on simple submission fixed this for me also minimizes the mini game so you get a better view of the submission

I've seen the option for simple subs, and was curious as to how hey work?

Re: CPU vs CPU UFC 3

                      Couple things to add here:

Simple subs replace the default sub game for human players with a button mash. The AI will play the submission game for you, wish a competence related to your mashing speed. Faster mash = better AI, essentially.

As for AI difficulty itself, Pro is intended to be the most realistically difficult, but that isn't always true. As many of the offline fans on OS will attest, the sliders often give a better outcome for various fighters and matchups and difficulties, depending on what you are personally after.

As to sliders being human vs cpu, I have NO IDEA why this was not red vs blue. It's harder on the back end, and less useful for players. Alas, it was apparently not something the front end/UI devs had the resources to fix in patches. Gameplay and the art teams (new fighters) had a bit more time allocated to patches than some of the other teams.

As to the AIs horrible submission escape....damn. I could have sworn we did something about that in the patches. Well, I know we did a lot of updates to AI submissions since subs themselves got re-tuned many times, which totally throws the AI tuning out the window. Guess it wasn't enough, though I haven't heard nearly as much about them as closer to release. Maybe people got too tired of saying it -_-

Re: CPU vs CPU UFC 3

I don't do CPU v CPU much but when I do more often than not it ends in a submission even when it's two strikers, the AI doesn't seem to get back up from grappling in CPU v CPU from what I've seen, though I haven't done a CPU match-up for a few patches so maybe it got fixed.

Same in tournaments. I'll sim the odd round and whoever wins will win by sub more often than not. I had Machida apparently Sub Maia once. I would've liked to have seen how that happened.

What sliders are you guys running for cpu vs. cpu?
You play fast! You play strong! You go out there and dominate the man you're playing against, and you make his *ss quit! That's our trademark! That's our M.O. as a team! That's what people know us as! - Nick Saban

None personally as you can't give each CPU different slider settings, they both use identical so you can't really do much other than a straight damage buff/Nerf or things like that.

For Player v CPU however, I'd recommend Pro, AI transition speed + 3 and AI sub speed +1.

I just got the game and noticed this issue as well. CPU get subbed on 95% of the attempts. Serra beat gsp back to back first round submission. Selecting simple submissions didn't make a difference
Edit: it seems increasing CPU transition speed a lot, sub speed a little and turning perks off helps. Also, use normal difficulty
