i turned off the music on day one. haven't turned it back on since. i usually do that with most games with this type of soundtrack. I can listen to anything from motown, jazz, micheal jackson, death metal, but these soundtracks are aweful to me. I should say im 34 so I'm sure that has something to do with it. Still, I miss the days of Tony Hawk and the great soundtracks we used to get with every one.

I gotta imagine it costs a decent penny to get licensed music in the game. Could be wrong, but if im not....id much rather see that money getting spent on other things like mo-capping more fighters for some more authenticity.

Well some money has to go for the soundtrack anyway, it might as well be good music this time, even if it's not Eminem.

They gotta start getting more new sounds/artists in these soundtracks. 2K Sport's hasn't been as memorable either lately. Mostly because both are picking more mainstream artists now and mainstream is as bad as it's ever been. I found one of my fav ever electronic bands from NFL2K5, Telefon Tel Aviv. It was great menu music and I always set it as my 'end of quarter' music.

It'd be perfect if they just mixed in a few popular names but mostly find some indie acts and have more of a balance between rock & hip-hop and anything else instead of being too pop-rap heavy. I'm sure it'd save some bucks, plus nobody buys these games for the soundtrack anyway. Just find some fitting tracks that mesh well that'll make people say, "Aw yes, I remember this song from EA UFC 4" years later lol. It's kinda hard to do that with mainstream songs, it's gotta be new to people.
