Re: How does the new lunge logic work with cruz
What is your specific question? You mean how does it work with his custom movement? How does it work defensively against him?Comment

If you use the right stick instead of the left with Cruz, you'll get the standard lunge animations instead of his custom lunges.Comment

Re: How does the new lunge logic work with cruz
I don't use Cruz much but as far as I can tell it seems to follow the same logic as normal lunges with the only exception being that the lunge to his lead side is a combination lunge back after, which works well against jab-hook/jab upperComment

Re: How does the new lunge logic work with cruz
Cruz's unique lunge where he chains a rolling slip then a pull (the one you get when you cancel his unique straight, or lunge into his lead side) doesn't work anymore as it only evades one strike despite being two defensive movements.
Most times I use it I get caught with a strike that those head movements thrown out of the lunge would have avoided, if that makes sense.
Example, I'll slip a jab during the roll and get caught with a hook on the pull.
His other unique lunges are still EXTREMELY handy, the body poke (L1+LS forward) is exceptionally useful and sneaky. You can chain a lead overhand off it that is extremely sneaky.
His unique rear leg lunge is still useful too, you can combo a unique hook or low kick off it, chain it off the body poke for another unique lunge or mask a ducking roundhouse with it.
But I really do think his lead leg unique lunge was broken with the lunge evasion changes.
It looks great but 9 times out of ten it doesn't evade anything in my experience.Comment
