    UFC 4 Traits/characteristics/Background Idea

What if UFC 4 has characteristics/traits/backgrounds to pick from at the start of our career. These will affect our stats, our fighter and opponents in different ways. Every human being is different everyone has different physical abilities, different mental strengths and different stories/backgrounds. Some of us are fast learners, some of us have natural strength ,some are fast , some of us used to box when we are young or wrestled. So why not have a system that give us a chance to pick 4 positive traits/characteristics/backstory

    Example

I create my fighter or import one and It later takes me to a menu to add or don't add beginning traits/characteristics/backgrounds so let's pretend to pick our T/C/B to influence our career and/or fighter

-Overtime (Your in your gym early and out last so you gain more points while training)

    - Fast Puncher (punch speed is increased by 30 points at the start of your career)

    - Likeable (You gain 1000+ extra fans each fight and cheaper media time to hype up your fight)

    - Counter Hunter ( punches and kicks are faster after a successful slip, lunge or denied takedown)

But being so “gifted” comes at a cost so if you chose to give yourself random or hand picked T/C/B then you will get 2 permanent negative Traits/characteristics. So think about Conor Mcgregor He has a Naturally wicked left hand punch ,smart as hell and is likeable but his gas tank sucks and bad against wrestlers or look at The Diaz Brothers they have solid chins and there stamina draining pressure kills you if you can't keep them off of you and they have stamina for days but They are bad at checking leg kicks, bad against high level wrestlers and are to flat footed so they are not good at lunging and popping in and out fast.

So automatically I will get 2 negatives traits/characteristics, let's pretend

-Glass Jaw ( You have a weak chin so you have a capped 55 chin health. Chin health cannot be trained to be better and can't have negative injury effects. This is permanent)

-Khabib effect (Being On your back ,beaten up by ground and pound strikes and fighting to get up constantly throughout the fight drains Stamina from fighter at a rapid pace)

Having a system with traits / characteristics / backgrounds for our fighters at the beginning of our career will give us more depth for our fighters also this should also be a thing for up and coming created fighters going through the ranks same as you. Give them 4 random positives and 2 negatives so every fighter will feel different and unique in their own way.

If you like this idea please give us your ideas for Traits / characteristics / backgrounds and their effects to the your fighter or opponent. There should be a lot of these T/C/Bs for more depth to career mode. Here's all of my ideas. (By the way this is just an idea ,I still want universe mode and to be able to create god build from the start of my career just for fun but for those who want a realistic play i believe this could work if you and created A.Is u meet in your career have something like this)

    Positives:

-Overtime (Your in your gym early and out last so you gain more points while training)

    - Fast Puncher (punch speed is increased by 30 points at the start of your career)

    - Likeable (You gain 1000+ extra fans each fight and cheaper media time to hype up your fight)

    - Counter Hunter ( Your counter punches and kicks are faster after a successful slip, lunge or denied takedown and counter window is slightly Bigger)

    - College wrestler (you wrestled in college so 25 points to takedowns, 25 points to takedown defense and get to pick 2 level 5 wrestling moves at the start of career)

    - Olympic Wrestler ( You wrestled in the Olympics so 30 points to takedowns, 30 points so take down defense, get to pick 3 level 5 wrestling moves and 1 level 3 wrestling perk)

    - Left Punch of Death and right punch of death ( perfectly timed counters with left punches to opponent with 65 or under chin health has a 70% chance to get knocked out cold if your power is 70 or up. Anything over 65 chin health should be fine just don't get damaged to much) fyi Left and right death punches are separate traits so yes you can get both.

    - Anti Wrestler (opponents SHOOTING in for a takedowns is less effective against you)

    - Boxing Prodigy ( you used to box before turning MMA fighter so head movement is up by 30 points to stats, footwork 30 points to stats, 30 points to accuracy stats and boxing level 5 at the start of career)

    - Muay Thai Prodigy ( you used to be a Muay Thai Fighter before turning MMA fighter so leg strength 30 points to stats, Fast kicker ,clinch grappling 25 points to stats and level 5 muay thai at the start of career)

    - Comeback Kid (Lost all rounds no big deal ,the last round you gain 35 points to stamina ,20 points to takedown defense ,Heart increased by 20 points ,toughness increased by 20 points and opponents strikes don't cancel out your strikes)

    - Lions Heart (heart increased by 20 points at the start of career)

    - Thai Clinch guru (it is harder for opponent to get out of your Thai clinch)

    - Coaches favorite (If rival opponent is at the same gym you can still train there)

    - Granite chin (you start off with 65 chin health at the start of your career)

    - StyleBender (successfully combos and shooting for takedown or clinching right after combo is faster)

    - Made Your look (Feinting then striking or going for take down is faster)

    - BJJ Black belt (you are a master at BJJ so 30 points to bottom game , 30 points to sub offence, 30 points to sub defense and 3 level 5 BJJ moves at the start of career)

    - Visual Learner (You watched to much UFC And action movies so you can pick 6 level 1 moves to start off your career)

    - Hercules ( starting power at 70 , level 5 slam boost perk, and toughness starting at 70 at the start of your career)

    - One shot wonder (you have a 40% chance to catch your opponent with a ko shot from any strike at any moment)

    - They Know My Name (you start your career with hype behind your name 100,000 fans after first fight)

    - Dash (Running is faster and running strikes is faster)

    - Terminator ( the last minute of each round your strikes can't be cancelled )

    - Chosen one (you start with 80 points across all stats) this could be a rare randomization for you and A.Is ,Imagine playing career and your fighting this fighter that is Like this mma prodigy at the start of his career. Tough match up.

    - Speedy pass (you have fast transitions)

    Negatives:

-Glass Jaw ( You have a weak chin so you have a capped 55 chin health. Chin health cannot be trained to be better and can't have negative injury effects. This is permanent)

-Khabib effect (Being On your back ,beaten up by ground and pound strikes and fighting to get up constantly throughout the fight drains Stamina from fighter at a rapid pace)

    - *Soft Body ( You have a capped 55 body health. body health cannot be trained to be better and can't have negative injury effects. This is permanent)

    - Hated ( Fans just don't like you -1000 fans a fight)

    - Bad checks ( you suck at checking leg kicks ,so checking kicks only block half the damage)

    - Rocky start (all stats start off 10 points lower than default stats)

    - Lazy Guru (When you train u gain less points)

    Re: UFC 4 Traits/characteristics/Background Idea

I just hope we get to make whatever fighter we wish. Or at least get to pick specifically what kinds of moves we want to upgrade, whenever want, as long as we have the "points" or whatever for it. And that we get to pick what we want to focus on in training, instead of brackets, where it's basically impossible to not reach a hundred overall eventually, because in order to get better TDD, you have to fx. also train your TD, which is already high, and boom, for you to reach 90 TDD you've reached 100 TD etc. Career mode is sooooooo shallow, but it's actually REALLY easy to create a great career mode in a fighting game with LOADS of replayability. Just give us the freedom to create WHOEVER we want. We are in control of his stats (or at least to with specific stat we allocate the points) as well as his moves. WE decide wether to move up in weight. WE decide who our rivals are (if they should even exist). WE try to push for matches, so fx. if I lost on my way to the title, if that guy I lost to is still in the picture, I want to have that rematch. And most importantly, the simulated fights play out realistically (or custom rosters, maybe with the ability to create fighters for that roster on the go!!!). I don't want to face the same fighters face or six times, or face fighters who are plus 40, 50, hell, maybe even 60 years old.... Damn.........

And non-controlled fighters should have a peak start, peak end thing like in 2K, so they reach their potential at about 28-30 years old and step to of their peak at about 33-35 years old (maybe older for higher weight classes). I don't want to see Ngannou with 100 grappling and Blades with 100 striking.....

UFC 3's career mode is actually laughable. It's pretty flashy and all, and was probably a big selling point, but wow it's bad... Cool with the cutscenes and all, but if the mode has to be that scripted and shallow for that to work, then I'd much rather not have them!
