You called it unrealistic when it happens all the time.
Your wording also has me wondering if you have a true grasp of what myself and Romero are talking about - we aren't telling anyone to go all out. We're talking about game plans.¯\_(ツ)_/¯ -

And the circumstances I'm thinking of are unrealistic. I've stood idle for majority of the last round whilst the opponent does nothing lol.

Re: What's The "Cheesiest" Thing You Do In UFC 3?
I don't know. If I'm losing a fight. I still just stay calm and try to work my gameplan. I'm not gonna out combo someone, so getting aggressive in a losing situation is gonna get me nowhere but KOd faster.
My out at that point is staying calm and trying to find that counter shot or rock, and find some kind of opportunity to finish.
Getting aggressive and reckless, trying to wing combos in some desperation attempt at getting a rock is the last thing you want to do.
I always try to stay calm, and relaxed no matter what. Even when losing, getting overwhelmed with pressure, being taunted, etc.PSN: Lord__Hazanko

One of my favorite things to do is throwing the same strike, such as a rear leg kick, over and over again (3-5 times) in a very short period. The logic is that when the fight has gone long enough your opponent starts having an idea of your patterns so they don't expect you to do something dumb and random.
Does anybody else struggle with Joanna's who throw 130+ strikes in one round?Comment

I play mostly only quickmatch. I honestly don't bother playing Joannas anymore. I just back out and enter a new match. Literally every person who picks Joanna in quickmatch is a spammer.PSN: Lord__Hazanko

Re: What's The "Cheesiest" Thing You Do In UFC 3?
I always get called a runner. Admittedly, I don't like moving forward to much and I fight better using counters. Sometimes I'll be too patient I guess, and I'll have a staring contest if I know I'm up on the cards or ahead in the round and my opponent stops coming forward, I don't care how boring my fights are quite honestly. I get annoyed at people wasting my time.
Or, people who are just trying to copy another player's style and are doing a horrible job, yet continue to do the same thing despite losing.EA Sports UFC GameChanger

Yeh it seems what's being said is being misrepresented by others. I got out when it became clear people were creating an argument by being very suggestive of what was actually said.
It's definitely a fair criticism of that style of play. If that criticism annoys you, it's says more of you.
That style of play, when done right, is meant to cause frustration. When it's done wrong... it becomes silly. People think they're being technical, as Romero said, but really, it's an unwillingness or inability to adapt.
Disclaimer: nowhere does my post say "don't fight smart" or "if you're losing, start throwing everything" or "players need to walk aimlessly forward whenever they're losing"
