The torch has been officially passed.

We've officially taken on Borrachinha fandom publicly. We've always been ride or die with the Nogueira brothers but when I saw Rodrigo come out in the comment section I knew the timing was right. Paulo Borrachinha is quite possibly the middle weight GOAT and the next "shampion."

As far as the Nogueira bros go - they are legendary and I will continue to support them in anything they take on going forward. For now it's WAR BORRACHINHA!!!

PS: Don't tell Nog how long this has been going on. Paulo has been my dirty secret since the Hendricks fight [emoji2309]

I mean dude gassed in a round against Hendricks. Got jabbed up by Hall. Lost to Romero.

I'd pump the breaks on the MW GOAT talk....

No but landing more strikes does

Costa exhibited full octagon control and had the more effective striking

Actually it doesn't. It's the damage those strikes do that scores.

If we go by damage then Romero wins. Paula was busted up and the old man looked clean.

Paulo landed one of the cleanest counters of the fight and legitimately dropped Yoel.

Yoel got a KD off a slip

Yoel almost had Costa finished in the 3rd, and had all of the momentum at the end of the fight. If that went 5 rounds Costa gets finished.

Can't really make that assumption because everything from training, preparation and how they fight changes when it's a known 5 rounder. I was rooting for Romero BTW. You can't just stick out your tongue everytime you get hit and expect the judges to ignore it. He got beat.

                        Round 1:
                        -Costa.

Round 2: Costa starts hot but by midway through he's completely gassed and has almost totally stopped throwing. Hes getting jabbed up. Yoel gets a takedown.
                        -Yoel

Round 3: Yoel takes this round. Almost finishes Costa.
                        -Yoel

It was a close fight but Yoel takes it. Costa only landed clean maybe a handful of times, but by the end of the fight his face was chewed up..

I'd honestly say the only round that could go either way is the 1st. The 2nd round was pretty decisive Costa.

                          3rd was Yoel

My thoughts exactly, even the first round wasn't too debatable but I get you. Easy on the GOAT talk though, lol.
