Re: Have you retired from UFC 3?
You can't really extrapolate anything meaningful about the game from what this man says. He literally only plays with Big Nog, so he is facing a massive stat disadvantage. Stats matter in this game. If you're facing an uphill battle and you're a bad-to-decent player, you're gonna be in for a rough time. I play with Big Nog a lot and he is so slow, even on the ground. A good player with a reasonable stat deficit/advantage shouldn't be getting half guard stunned. Any time FtD mentions something about the game, remember it comes from a Big Nog exclusive (mostly) player.
Knee-Elbow attacks are an issue though at any level despite the counters.Comment

Re: Have you retired from UFC 3?
After only playing offline for a while, boy did it take some time to get used to the cheese fest online lol. Just about everyone was a pressure fighter throwing combos nonstop. I forgot I was back down the div 4 since I had some loses during the beginning of the last season (I REALLY hate that). But my gawd, can we please get combos without the gimmicks or separate “systems” maybe. Just kick & punch combo speed ratings with the inability to chain certain crazy moves...?Comment

That forward moving knee has to go . Nobody does that in the UFC . It's not possible to generate that much damage without getting you opponent in the Muay Thai plum. You can't really extrapolate anything meaningful about the game from what this man says. How do you just keep moving forward like that . It has to go .

Re: Have you retired from UFC 3?
I’m fine with the forward moving knee, but there are only a few moves a knee can chain into effectively in real life. Throwing an elbow and a knee should not be that fast in a combo. And no one has ever thrown an uppercut elbow into a spinning elbow like in the game ever in real life.
Throwing left right left right elbows shouldn’t be a thing either.
There aren’t a whole lot of issues in the stand up game, but most of the glaring ones revolve around elbows and knees. The flying knee out of a rock shouldn’t be as viable as it is. You can’t even throw proper leg kicks or hooks in this game when rocked, so I don’t know why you can throw a picture perfect flying knee with max power.
Back to the forward moving knee; you should take a speed debuff for any other strike coming out of a forward moving knee. There are several strikes that should be viable as single strikes only. I’m fine with a lead hook - rear knee hard combo, but not when moving forward.
Just a few tweaks to the system to clean it up would make a world of difference and probably surprise a lot of people who aren’t in favor of the hard combo system. Of course some people will never be pleased and some people will never accept that an MMA game has to have a complex control scheme.

Re: Have you retired from UFC 3?
That idea someone posted for a stumbling animation if you whiff a forward moving strike should be looked into I think. There may be something in it, though I guess it depends on the strike. That could work for whiffing power strikes like overhands from a mile away too. Oh, and following up an overhand with something else shouldn't be a thing in my opinion. Just thinking out loud here.Comment

Re: Have you retired from UFC 3?
I hope they seriously pay attention to to footwork training tools and grappling in the next game. For me that's all it's really lacking. Bring back ufc 2 ultimate. Spent 5k that year. 0 on ufc 3 #fixitComment

Re: Have you retired from UFC 3?
I still play this game multiple times per week, but almost exclusively in stand & bang mode.

I never have an issue finding a fight. I beat up the majority of them, but there's definitely some good players that I run into all the time.

Re: Have you retired from UFC 3?
I just splurged on a great PS4 Pro Bundle deal .... so I may just have to come out of retirement to give UFC 3 a try with a Pro setup. Don't have a 1ms monitor yet, but that's on the list for UFC 4....
I'm pretty impressed so many people are still playing UFC 3 to be honest, good to see.
Myself and several others have been harping on this for awhile, fingers crossed Ranked Matchmaking/Leaderboard Scoring is improved for UFC 4. I know I'd play a lot more Ranked if such an improved system were implemented. Not ONLY because I'd get more leaderboard points for choosing lower-level fighters, but also just due to the fact there would (in theory) be fewer people choosing top-tier fighters, leading to more style matchups and variety. Which is exactly the type of thing that keeps me coming back for more.I didn't play for a couple months picked it up and started playing again. Main thing that turns me off the game (especially ranked) is the abundance of S tier characters you face. It's nothing but GSPs, DCs, Weidmans, Aldos etc. Like cool, if you want to pick S tier all day that's fine, but there should be some sort of system that makes it more likely you fight players who only pick S tier characters, or a massive point loss/gain when you win/lose vs a C+ character with S tier. Like I'm talking 50 point drop.Last edited by Boiler569; 12-03-2019, 01:27 PM.PSN: Boiler569

Re: Have you retired from UFC 3?
Just this morning 12,000 on PS4, 1800 on Xbox one. Maybe im just talking out of my @ss but the responsiveness on Xbox seems terrible, I never understood the complaints about strikes taking too long to come out until I played on XboxComment
