After UFC 4 I believe. Now that I think about it, that may be why this dev cycle is so long. They might want a fully completed product with good reviews/sales so they dont lose the license to somebody like 2K

That actually makes sense to me. Like in sports, it’s a contract year. Generally you get a better effort from players in a contract year as they know it’s a bargaining chip for the next contract.

Is it the same way for video games? I don’t know, but it makes sense to me.

EA will release FIFA and Madden + 2 other sports games this year. Realistically speaking NHL will be the third game and then the fourth game is likely either UFC or NBA Live.

It’s NBA Live, EA said they’re sitting out of the 19-20 Season for Live 20 and, that’s why NBA Live 19 updated their roster to the 2020 Roster. They’ll be back with NBA Live 21.

FYI, the report the article is referencing doesn’t come from EA. It comes from a industry analyst. It’s just a prediction.

I would be 100% shocked if EA didn’t release ufc4 this year.

I doubt EA is worried about losing the license to 2k or anyone. WME doesn’t really give a **** who owns the ufc video game license as long as they get the highest dollar amount for a license fee.

If EA wants to renew the license, I don’t think anyone is going to outbid them.
