The AI doesn't behave like a real person does.
It's easy to defend against AI. Against players, it's very different for some reason.

I dislike it more as I use it more.

I think the idea of the system is way better than the old one, but I’m struggling to defend against chokes and joint subs against the AI and online. I’ve also not had anyone escape from my subs either, including the AI on legendary.

I always felt that subs in UFC 3 were an easy way to essentially cheat the game and beat the hardest AI, as they sucked at escaping. Same goes here.

Submission game needs to go back to the UFC 3 style. Idk who it was too hard for but this attempt to simplify the game was a bad idea.

If we were talking about the game in general I'd agree, but the AI has always been ridiculously good at the various submission mini games in pretty every mma game and this is no exception. It's not a problem with the system, it's a problem with the players not understand how it works yet.

This system makes more sense. You just have to learn it.

I don't think they are broken - I've had really good players that are damn near impossible to land a takedown on. I fear that an over correction here will quite literally make it impossible to land a takedown at all on these players.

Why am i not surprised you said this? Takedowns are nearly impossible to stop. I was playing against players with 100+ mayches and no one was stuffing any takedowns

Like dont get me wrong i dont want a kneejerk reaction here where it is overpatched, but last night i played dmart(we were both top 5 at the time) and i was maia and he was covington. It should be hard for me to get takedowns with that matchup but i was getting them nearly at will. He stuffed a few but it js jidt a tad easy for sure.

What if subs used the TD scramble mechanic. We wouldn't need a sub HUD then.

I dnt get it. It's understandable, but with the chokes, it's like it cheats you and makes your bar longer to where the attacker can easily submit you. Maybe im doing something wrong idk, but when im in a choke, my bar always gets way longer than the attackers.

You have to move it slowly and smoothly. Its meant to simulate panicking. I think it would've been okay if the offensive sub bar gets smaller with the same.

I struggled with it at first but you its simple once you practice. You have to be very precise with your movements and move relatively slow.

The joint submission one is fine it is the choke one that is too hard to escape. They should add a legacy controls for submissions too for people who liked the old submission game

I just faced a lvl 7 guy and even his sub bar was wild. They have to change it.

They should've done TBS. It's far more userfriendly and versatile.
