I'm still intrigued by the game and will, at the very least, definitely DL the trial of it on EA Access. UFC3's striking always felt a bit rock em sock em to me and was the primary way everyone online was a pressure fighter throwing out four punch combos with no worries.

Have there been any firm details on the backyard brawl/kumite modes? I know everyone is having a sadgasm over Adesanya's Mortal Kombat comment but I can't actually find much concrete info on it.

Also I'm looking forward to a career mode trailer (assuming one gets released) considering it's been a big topic in all the write ups.

I know people are disappointed by the beta but by this point you're all starting to sound like Forrest Whittaker in the 'he's pissing on us' scene from the Shield. You can always buy a 360 and UD3 if that was your gaming mecca.

Meh.........man I'm trying so damn hard to get excited about this game, I really am, guys. I'm usually not the negative type of person, and truth be told the wrestling and clinching aspect look amazing, I seriously cannot wait to use DC or Hendo,etc. I REALLY, REALLY wish Couture was in this game. I feel with the improved grappling and clinch game, I feel like I would be able to recreate his fighting style somewhat accurately. I just feel that other than these changes, theres not a whole lot else to look forward to. I dont know anything at all about the career mode, but I find it hard to get too hyped about it since in the other games, the career mode always felt like an afterthought. I'm still gonna buy it, just not as hyped up for it as I thought I would be.

Do we have WWE players here? Can they raise they voices how „fantastic“ WWE 2KXX was?!?! 2K is one of the lazyest greedyest with microtrans right now so please hope better for ea keeping it and skip ufc4 and maybe 5 so at ufc6 all your wishes with draws, hits after ko, actual refs that are stepping in etc., are come true.

Why really this negativity that wont change anything to positive. Best thing you can do is skip it and done.

Don,t worry my friend, the meta game can,t be the same because the Ufc 4 striking system seems the same BUT iis much more fluid, accurate and solid than Ufc 3.

Keep in mind too the new clinch system THAT ALLOWS YOU to intercept strikes easily, even works versus combinations when you have better stamina than your opponent

Because in the beta under the fighter quotes screen for your player card you can equip a quote from Fedor himself. Seems weird to include a quote from him and not have him in the game.

The quote literally says Fedor under it

Pretty sure Fedor is still under contract with Bellator.

Would be some going if he was included in this because it would mean;

A)Bellator and Coker would allow it to happen
B)Dana would allow his fighters to get beat up on screen by one of the main attractions from another promotion. I just don't see it.

Although if we are getting Bellator fighters in can we get Lyoto please EA!

In fairness, there are actually plenty of Bellator fighters in the current game and were even added after going to Bellator (Chael, Rampage, Tito, Wandy and Cro Cop).

Big difference is Fedor has never signed with the UFC. I'm pretty sure if he had, they could just use his likeness like they do anyone else who has ever been with them (it's in their contract that they can, with rare exceptions)

But for Fedor they'd have to do everything you said above. Go to him, get him to sign off which would probably mean some discussion with Bellator, etc. Doubt it's worth the hassle for the UFC.

Yeah I did notice this in the beta, strikes felt weightier and the nonstop combos were taken away. I scored a few knockdowns with a well-placed stiff jab and KO's with a straight right over the top of a jab, so I'm looking forward to that side of things.

The clinch was cool too but I had little idea how to defend anything.

Listen, if I'm right the prize is I get to be right (but sad).

If I'm wrong, I get Fedor (which if getting Fedor is wrong, I dont want to be right).

Getting Fedor without Brock Lesnar or Randy Couture (now we're pushing it!) would be maddening.
