1 Small Change to the Striking that would have made it feel fresh new.

I believe this idea can even be implemented post-launch and shouldn't require any new animations and it will absolutely change the stand-up, so it might require a bit of tuning and balancing.

So here is my idea on How to Implement Power Strikes using the Analogue R2/RT button.

    - When we throw a Strike, we can press the R2/RT button 100% in order to fake it and cancel it.

    - What if when we threw a strike, we pressed the R2/RT say 1% up to 99%, then let go of the trigger.

    - The fighter would do the animation that he is about to cancel the strike, but instead the strike would pause at the frozen animation(strike fake animation) and instead charge up and eventualy come out, with more power, giving it the filling of Charging it Up to do damage and waste a lot of stamina.

Maybe such strikes could completely break open the opponent's block requring them to retap the R2 to start blocking again, giving us another way to go through our opponent's block besides 3 strike combos.

That's it, thanks for coming to my TED Talk. What are your thoughts on such a mechanic?

Alternative 1: This might be a way to implement fake strike fakes, where the opponent thinks you have faked the strike, only for it to come out, while you are pressing and holding R2 half way in and once you let go, the animation continues where it paused, giving you the ability to throw strikes at opponents who are abusing the lunges.

Alternative 2: could have to do with Blocking strikes. Pressing R2/RT 100% will use a strong block, and make counter striking not viable, while also burning stamina and positioning your fighter to do strong block animations where they turn their whole body etc., while pressing it 1-99% would use a weak block, it wouldn't burn any stamina, it would take more damage to the blocking and it would allow you to block the opposite body/legs or head faster and will make your counter strikes come out faster, transforming the striking into a less turn-based striking.

What do you mean by abusing the lunge?

Well if someone spams small sidesteps for example, thinking they can avoid every single jab straight combo, it would be a good way to punish em, if the 1st alternative was implemented. I guess we can already kinda do that, by faking and really quickly throwing the strike we faked, but it doesn't always reset the tracking.

You must not play online or against people in div 5 and above. People spam the small sidestep left and right, making jabs and straights nearly impossible to connect.

I previously asked if exploits were corrected in UFC 4 and this was one I had in mind.

That’s not an exploit throw hooks, but to answer the first part I haven’t played ranked since season 3 I think, but was too 100 both seasons before

What? Sidestepping is not spam the timing window is pretty small and the vulnerability is pretty big, plus if you block while sidestepping it’s almost impossible to counter off of it. You would rather them hold block and just stand there and eat your straights?

There are a lot of things that are “spam” but lunging is absolutely not one of them. And before you accuse me of being a noob I have made it to division 6 before I got sick of the game.
...precision beats power and timing beats speed... and realism beats meta.
