It might not have been the posture setting, but it was one of the settings that allowed you to pick from the roster. Maybe Alberto knows

Nah, I'm almost entirely gameplay only, but sometimes I branch out into settings and UI because otherwise features I want in get cut.... so I just learn the damn thing and do it myself on my own time.

I built basically all of practice mode and the settings/UI in there, as well as most of the settings in custom fight now.

Archetypes and CAF settings are outside my purview.

        Re: AI Logic

I'm noticing that the AI on legendary is having some issues with blocking punches to the head against the cage, espeically after being dropped against the cage and getting up. Lots of guys are exploiting that to finish a fight quick.

        Just a heads up

Nope. You will need to apply it each time in Custom Fight Now.

It was in the personality section but that section is no longer in CAF. You will need to add it each time you fight in Custom Fight Now.

Good old EA, taking away options -_-

There is literally no reason not to repurpose the personality section into CAF AI templates. All you do is remove the celebrations.

I'm actually OK with this. There are still celebrations. I hated that AI was connected to personality. If someone had a perfect post fight reaction but wasnt the same kind of fighter as my CAF, I couldnt use them.

                  Just watched this video

I noticed the AI, as Jones, gets up a few times after landing ground and pound from guard. Just doesn't make sense.
I think he said he was playing on pro. It's at around 6 minutes in the video

I get you, I didn’t like how they were connected to each other but seeing as I almost never used my CAF as AI, I didn’t mind so much - BUT, if I was running a universe, I would hate it indeed. I’ve no idea why they couldn’t separate them in UFC 3 or repurpose it for 4 as AI templates.

I think he was playing on legendary.
I also noticed at 6.50 that when you're on top guard (or half guard), the AI often throws baby punches with the hand holding the head, allowing you to easily posture up and ground and pound. Imhu boxer decided to stand back up at some point but I'm afraid that would make exploiting AI too easy.

I know this AI is not the most updated version, so hopefully it'll be tuned.

                        @aholbert32 or @skynet

I don't mean to repeat myself. But as I said earlier I noticed that the AI has a hard time defending against clinch head punches after being dropped against the cage and standing back up. It seems to be a major exploit in their recovery.

                        Hope this can be fixed.

This should be tied to bottom game rating. Guys with a higher bottom game should never do this while guys with a lower bottom game might do it once in a while.

                            - There are now new and improved generic customizations (multiple different versions of generic types like Brawler and GNP)

                            - Updated AI assignments for each fighter who doesnt have a specific customization. (Much improved from UFC 3.)

                            - Here is the big one: In CUSTOM FIGHT NOW, you can assign the AI customization to any fighter. You think we screwed up and Nick Diaz throws too many kicks?.....you can replace his customization with an AI customization that fits him better. Usman doesnt go for enough takedowns....change his customization to Askren.

I wish this feature was accessible in modes like event mode but for the hardcore AI/Universe player, this is a step towards a greater level of realism.
That sounds like a pretty cool change. Are there any chances that'll get added to event mode via patch?

I personally won’t use this feature. But it sounds like skynet and some of the GCer’s have tried to add a lot to the AI presets this year. I am actually excited to see these in play during the EA access trial. I quit on this game fairly shortly after release because I couldn’t stand matt hughes constantly throwing head kicks and trying to stand and bang every fight. I am looking forward to seeing guys actually try and wrestle and grind for wins.
