POLL: Should EA delay the release of EA UFC 4 ?

There has never been such a negative reaction to a UFC game before. Fans are worried. WMG is going over the EA deal with a microscope. In past games, EA released them unfinished and then released about 10-14 patches each to try to "finish" the game. Is it too late this time? Should EA delay the release?

How do you know wmg is going over the deal? Sources. That's good news. Ea should just make fight night.

If it took them 2.5 years to come up with half these decisions I don’t see how it gets better, especially with GPD being less involved. In fact I’d say it may get worse as they undue things he worked on.

“Hmm, lets just make all ground positions postured up since postured down positions aren’t exciting”

I’d say let the community get involved, identify whats broke or not, and hopefully patch

Not going to happen. The game is basically wrapped and going out for retail packaging any day now I’d assume.

Let the game and EA do its thing. If it fails, changes will be made. A delay isn’t going to change the decisions and direction the franchise is headed.

Like said above they went over 2.5 years on this one. They had more time than ever. Post launch of EA UFC 3 was great, I don't think any of us got enough time with the Beta to say the game cannot be saved with some post-launch support.

I'm not saying whether or not it can, I'm just saying I don't think any of us know for sure just yet.

It feels a little OTT to call the game unfinished based off a beta we could play for like 3 days without a tutorial mode. The UFC3 people are playing today was super different from the one launched, so I dunno why they couldn't patch in these changes at a later point.

We still don't even have that much information about the game yet, so it seems like people could, I dunno, wait for more information? If it drops and Undisputed 3 is better, you can get an old console and that game for the same price as UFC4.

Fans gotta chill a bit, I think it will be better than people think. Btw, betas are older builds mostly for performance crash testing and correcting

Well I think people are going off of the recent gameplay video from like a week ago instead of the beta, and the gameplay video is virtually identical to the beta. People are still upset about the lack of ref interaction and realistic looking TKOs and I dont blame them. They've had 4 installments to get it in there and it's still missing. I'm glad the wrestling and clinch are finally on par with the striking but no excuse for leaving things out that have been spent officially asked for since the first game.

The main issues of the EA UFC 4 Beta, weren't just the lack of basic feutures.

It had to do with the current EA UFC 3 reused feutures, that got downgraded, casualised and the way they took away the control from the player.

The main problem was the direction the series is going as a whole. That's not something you can fix with a patch.

Even if they could patch things in, what makes you think they would?

This launch is different than the other EA UFC launches. This is the last game EA has on the contract and after 2.5 years of development, with such a poor excuse of a sequel the message is clear:

They propably don't plan on updating the license, considering all the budget issues they've been having with the series. It smells of a quick cash grab, that won't be getting the same patch treatment as the last 3 games.

If they were planning on renewing the license it would have been idea for us to have known by now, since the game would sell better if the fans knew that EA has an incentive to update the game.

So combined with how little care it appears to have gone on this sequel, along with the fact that it's the last title on their contract, I don't see this game getting patched or fixxed as we usually expect it to be.
