I know some of the gamechangers are against a bigger stamina tax for blocked/whiffed strikes, but you guys had it your way in UFC 3 and we saw how old it got really fast. We need to think before we throw strikes this go around. And if someone is throwing without thinking, they should be penalized for it.
Some GC's including myself, were against a higher stamina tax until the block was nerfed. Now the block has been nerfed. Pretty sure all GC's agree that stamina tax should be higher now.

Pace is crazy and getting rocked/knocked down easy to survive. Doesn’t look like a real mma fight at all, more like a regular fighting game. Probably what they were going for, but doesn’t do much for me.

Looks great except the end. That finish is so unnatural

High level competitive play on UFC never looked good imo, there's a reason ESFL averages 300 viewers.

I really like the backyard and kumite venues. Hopefully we can turn off the mortal kombat sounds for kumite though.

                  Clinch looks great.

That looks so good. If EA can tweak the finishes I will be more excited to get the game, they have the animation of covering up they just need the ref to break it up before the play goes all limp.

But damn the grappling exchanged in that look smooth, those guys really did a stellar job.

I watched this fight again. I have to say, it’s the best showcase for the game online right now. Hands down.

The striking, the clinch, the wrestling scrambles, it’s very very good.

The only complaint I have is the finish. But everything else is fantastic.

Yeah I don't usually enjoy watching those, they go "full meta".
I enjoy watching Martial mind though.

the fight was good and showcased a lot of improvements in the fluidity of the strikes to clinch to takedown attempts which was quite impressive but don't you guys think the stamina was just way out of control?

These guys were nonstop striking right into clinch striking, into picking a dude up over their head and slamming, into a scramble, back into continuous striking. By the time the second round started they had lost like 10-15 percent of their stamina and these were light heavy/heavyweights lmao. I think Cormier would have had a heart attack by the end of that round. Stamina needs a tweak or it will be very problematic.

Definitely, it continues to be an issue that needs addressing. It was in UFC 1, 2, 3 and now 4.

I’m not sure it will ever be brought to a place of realism. I just don’t think EA wants that. So I won’t hold my breath.

I will say that, although the finish was unnatural, I do like that stacked guard is super dangerous. It should be. A guy on top, fully raining down hard strikes shouldn’t need very many punches to land to stop the fight. So in that aspect I though it was good.

Dude. EA...this is a title update. UFC 3 came out 2 1/2 years ago and this looks the exact same as UFC 2 and 3, same as Madden, same as Fifa, enough already. PASS.

This is the first positive thing I've said about UFC 4 but that.... looked pretty good

Clinch work and transitions were great, it actually felt like a real exchange

The finish is BS no one likes that getting KOd and hopefully it changes but that actual match and gameplay gives me a bit more hope than I've had previously

Maybe it could be ok after all
